Dorset Dog training the right way : Muttley Solutions

Gary and Lorraine are both very welcoming and professional trainers who have given us and our golden retriever puppy some fantastic lessons over the past few weeks. Since the first session, the expectations and guidance have been clear and the atmosphere was very positive. We have been delighted with the outcome of the sessions and it has given our family the confidence to practice our training at home and in the local area.

I started training with my 2 year old golden retriever to work on loose lead walking and recall as she was obsessed with hunting squirrels! After the first session I felt I understood Molly better and felt more equipped to know what to do to manage her when out on walks. We have had 4 sessions now and she has improved so much and walks have become more enjoyable and less stressful. Gary helps to teach you to teach your dog so you can train what you need to have a great dog.

We started training with Gary, when our Cocker Spaniel Lyra was 5 months old. We really enjoy our sessions, and Gary gives great teaching, and guidance every time, with the tools we need to take home and put into practise. As a result, we can see huge improvement in Lyra's obedience and behaviour, as well as confidence in ourselves as we learn how to train her. She is a pleasure to walk and have as part of our family!Gary has incredible knowledge and experience, which we believe any dog owner will benefit from!

I started training our puppy with Gary in his gun dog puppy classes and have now progressed on to his level 2 pet gun dog course. Gary is extremely knowledgable and always has a simple and effective solution to any hurdles I’ve come across during training. I would highly recommend Muttley Solutions and I’m looking forward to seeing how far we will progress with our training under Gary’s guidance.

We booked in with Gary after a really good zoom session. During our first field session it became evident that our pup needed a behaviourist, as opposed to training, not for want of trying from Gary though who was phenomenal. Gary was brilliant in advising and set us up with a behaviourist he knew well, which will hopefully help us get to the bottom of our issue. This is a real genuine love for dogs, doing what's best for Dog and client.Hopefully we'll be back in future, but for now, thank you Gary for your advise.

We recently attended the puppy gun dog class and it was excellent. Enjoyed every session with our 5 month old Vizsla, it taught us the basics and gave my wife and I a good introduction to dog training. With Gary’s dog training knowledge and understanding we are making real progress with our nearly two year old Springer spaniel. Gary has given me the confidence and direction I needed. I've recently started training with Gary and look forward to our sessions. Very professional and well organised service with great guidance, communication and access to resources outside of the training sessions. You can't beat a 1:1 session with a knowledgeable professional to give you guidance as a trainer and develop your skills- because it's really about what you're doing and the dog will come along if you concentrate and work with patience. Having focus in the work I'm putting into my dog, using the exercises and techniques Gary has set out for me is really helping my pup and I to develop a strong and positive relationship.
