Tora Kodo Karate Kai

Tora is an excellent club where students of all ages and levels are encouraged to train hard and to get better, in a fun and positive atmosphere. I have trained at over 10 different clubs in 6 countries, and this is one of the best. Sensei Laurence picked up on all of my key areas for improvement within the first 30 minutes of my first class - the sign of a great instructor. My 10-year-old daughter has also recently joined and she absolutely loves the sessions. The facilities at St Mary's University are great too. I would highly recommend Tora Kodo Karate Kai to anyone who is looking for a truly outstanding karate club.

Tora Kodo Karate Kai has a special welcoming atmosphere and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Sensei Robert and his team provide excellent tuition drawing from many years of experience and dedication to Karate.

Tora is a great club for people of all ages and levels, especially if you have done martial arts in the past and want to get back into it. But i think what separates this club apart from anyone else, is the level of detail around the fundamentals and how they can be used at all levels from white to black belt.

I’m a complete beginner and have been made to feel very welcome. This could have been a daunting task but it isn’t, thanks to everyone here. Every session is well thought out and the instructors are extremely patient diligent and approachable. There’s a real family atmosphere. My 9 y/o and some of his classmates also attend and are all loving it.If anyone out there is thinking of getting into Karate I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tora Kodo Karate Kai !

You don't need to know other clubs to be sure that this one is the best. After one session in Tora you will not want to go anywhere else. And you will want to come back for more. The quality of teaching is superb. The best I've ever seen and experienced. The support received by the students is equally great. Sincerely friendly place, when you will work hard and be constantly encouraged to achieve more. Fantastic people, great atmosphere. For me, a place where I discovered a completely new world and a great source of joy in life. Highly recommended.

I joined the club around a year ago with my daughter. We are both really enjoying it and were made to feel very welcome. Great club, great trainers, great facilities at the St Mary's site. Highly recommend Tora Karate!
