Amazing place to visit. With lots to see and do. Either if you want to explore in side the house of just to wounded around the gardens. There also a play park up by the car park so the kids can have a great run around. Also there lots of walks by the car park for if want to take the dogs for a nice long walk.

Only scratched the surface with our visit as we only looked around the house which was fascinating. It did seem as if the family had just popped out so much of the original belongings were left as part of the bequest.Looking forward to returning next year and hiring a bike to investigate some of the trails. Lovely ice cream too.

This place is kept together remarkably well. Very impressive house and large gardens. Spoilt a bit by slipping on a wet disability ramp (ironically!) and falling down on my backside.

One of the best NT Houses and estates we have visited. Stunning interior with the most fascinating kitchen we have ever seen. The rooms are beautifully laid out and even with a lot of visitors you don't feel crowded. A real gem. Give yourself at least two hours for the house alone.

An amazing house and it's huge! It's so large you visit it in two halves, there's an entrance door at the front for one side and a door round the back for the other side. We visited late in the day and had the house to ourselves. I cannot recommend this house highly enough.

The house is beautifully preserved and packed with history; loads of helpful signs and notices to explain the history. Gardens are lovely and plenty of countryside to walk around. Only gripe is the £6 pounds to park which seems a bit excessive on top of the almost £20 entrance fee.

Beautiful National Trust property. Entered as a member, but well worth paying for. The cafe had one of the best Victoria Sponge cakes I’ve ever had! The house is very interesting and the grounds are well maintained.

Nice, well organized and clean garden. Lots of interesting things to see inside the house. But it is not allowed to take pictures.

Excellent example of this type of house. Great to look around relatively new interior (200years) due to fire but well worth a look around . it was a good walk from the carpark which is great on a fine day but does have a buggy for those who can't make it walking
