Mum has lived at Northbourne Court Care Home for over 14 months, the difference in mum from when she first moved in until now is astronomical. I thought due to the Alzheimer's I had lost mum forever, but here we are more than a year later and Mum is loving life in the care home, all the carers are amazing, you can see they genuinely care and they respect that this is the home of the residents. The amount of excellent entertainment they put on is fantastic. To see mum enjoying the entertainment and the day trips out the home fills me with so much comfort and happiness. Mum is now able to actually LIVE life happily and safely. The Manager, all the staff, carers etc... deal with anything I ever need help with and they do it with a smile. I was so worried having to place mum in a care home, because there is so much stigma attached to care homes but I am so pleased, blessed and happy to say that this care home throws all that stigma out the window. It is fantastic, thank you to everyone that works there. Everyone is so welcoming and happy to help. Keep up the good work Northbourne Court and don't let any negative reviews get you down, there will always be people that find fault with things. Let them live a day in your shoes and I tell you they wouldn't make it. The amount you all do for the home and the residents is beyond what those complainers could ever do. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring for my Mum and being so kind to me when I visit her.

absolutely vile excuse of a care home. if you want your loved ones to be treated with care and compassion do not bring them here. they left an elderly woman without food, washing facilities, and adequate care. such an awful place and needs serious management reform and training for the “carers”

My Nan spent roughly 4 months ant northbourne court and yes at the start like many others we thought we had found the perfect care home. How WRONG could we be! During my nans short time at NBC the level of care she received was despicable. She was constantly left in her bed for the majority of the day with curtains closed and cold toast and tea left by her bedside. We had made staff very aware that my Nan needed assistance with eating and every day life but this was not met. My Nan has been a vegetarian the majority of her life yet NBC thought it was acceptable to give her meat in her diet. The final straw was when my Nan was left physically hanging out of her bed for 4hrs unsupervised until family members arrived, which ultimately resulted in her being hospitalised!!!The following day NBC refused to take my Nan back in to the care home ( we would of never of sent her back) but to clearly neglect a resident and then ultimately leave her homeless is an absolute disgrace. Under the new management and the staff that do not reflect the community in any way I would seriously think twice before putting a loved member in Northbourne court.

Wow how can a company like this can receive a good rating? My friends mother was in there for 4 months and she ended up in hospital. The staff is rude the smell is horrible! My only conclusion is whoever gave them a good rating is blind deaf and has no sense of smell! If you love your relatives DO NOT send them there!

This place would let all the people in there die, if they would get money out of it. Do never let your loved ones in there alone. As known from other cases, you will see them malnourished and unwashed every day you get there. They don't care about anyone else, only for themselves.

Would give a 0 stars if I could. DO NOT send your loved ones here if you want them to be taken care of. The lack of care and compassion this care home has for its elderly and vulnerable residents is absolutely disgusting! This place needs shutting down.

My grandmother was cared for here and she received the best care under the new management. The staff are attentive and always go the extra mile to make sure that my grandmother was comfortable and happy. I highly recommend this care home.
