Masters in Light

Excellent customer service....Having found some beautiful light fittings here while visiting my daughter in St Albans, Mike at Masters in Light couldn’t have been more helpful. Not only did he arrange for the lights to be specially wired for our needs, but also packaged them extremely well and arranged for them to be delivered to France. We were even given a good discount because we had purchased several. Thanks again Mike, beautiful lights and a great service.

I was shocked and appalled by the customer service in this shop. The gentlemen in store was dismissive and incredibly unhelpful, his attitude towards myself and other customers was incredibly rude! We were going to make a purchase but decided against it. If you are seeking any advise or help on a light fixture or fitting be warned you may be met with a patronising attitude.

Be aware they don't offer refunds for unopened items. I paid for a lamp on a Saturday afternoon and was not warned of this. The next day, Sunday, after noticing the lamp was too big, I requested a refund and was told that only exchanges were possible. Even the lamp had not been ordered by them to their stock I was told the money had been paid and I had to get any other product from them. They didn't have anything suitable and still was not offered a refund. I had to get another product which I didn't really need. They display a very small notice on a side wall indicating that no refunds are possible, and other warning at all. Beside this, a total lack of empathy by the owner. I will definitely not go back.

Terrible man, always wants an argument no manners , disrespectful and shames people in front of others. Stock is outdated and has issues about getting his criticism across. Totally unreasonable, left with a very bad feeling. People never forget how they feel no matter what the words I avoid such drama.

I wanted 3 specialist light bulbs and they were really only interested in selling me something from their current stock. I want to help the high street, but on line you get much more choice.

Contrary to others, I found the guy here really helpful. As well as helping with lighting options, went out of his way to suggest where to park and how to avoid a ticket. Paid very good attention to preparing sale goods for easy carry and protection

I've bought several lights from here and the gentleman is always very helpful. Currently have an order for more lights, they arrived last week but he checked them before calling me and one had arrived damaged, he had already arranged a new one to arrive very quickly before he had called me. Always keeps you updated and has gone out of his way to make it a great experience. Can't wait to hang this new set of lights.

The store owner delivered my lights himself to my home as I could not collect them. Brilliant customer service and a great guy to deal with. Please use this store and help keep the independent shops on our high streets in business during these difficult times.
