If you are looking for a family-friendly experience then look no further than Afternoon tea at The Rubens at the Palace Hotel which was an exquisite experience. The elegant atmosphere, attentive service, and delightful pastries made for a memorable occasion. The sandwiches were beautifully presented and had a variety of flavours to choose from, ranging from traditional cucumber to a more adventurous smoked salmon.The scones were warm and fluffy, served with clotted cream and preserves. The desserts were the real showstopper, with an array of petit fours that were both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat.The pastry kitchen at The Rubens is led by their talented pastry chef Sarah HoughtingThe tea selection was extensive, with a wide range of blends to choose from. It was an indulgent and enjoyable afternoon that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special treat.A big thank you to Jakub and Junior. These guys were great.We opted for the Halal Sparkling Wild Idol Afternoon Tea £87 and Prince & Princess Afternoon Tea £35With Mothers Day coming up this would be an ideal gift for her.

Afternoon Tea at The Rubens
This was a much anticipated event on our vacation and it did not disappoint. The food was creative and scrumptious, and the large tea assortment was varied and delicious. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Great gluten free options. We look forward to the chance to have afternoon tea at the Rubens again. Thanks for such a lovely afternoon.

Afternoon Tea at The Rubens
Our first time visiting London from Canada and we loved our Royal Afternoon Tea experience at The Rubens on July 18, 2023. They were able to accommodate our pre-request for a window seat that looks out to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. Their teas, finger sandwiches, and sweets were delicious and beautifully presented. Oljada and Odunayo were friendly and attentive. Made us feel very welcomed and treated us so special. Odunayo frequently checked on us and asked if we would like to try a different tea or have more of the sandwiches and desserts to which my husband happily said yes. Oljada even gave us some loose tea samples of the Golden Curl Tea that we really enjoyed drinking and wanted to purchase to take home. First-rate and top notch service, food, and ambience. We highly recommend to anyone who is looking to experience afternoon tea in London. It was my husband’s first afternoon tea experience and he enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be back. The location right across the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace is a plus!

Afternoon Tea at The Rubens
My daughter treated me to an afternoon tea at Rubens. It was an absolutely fantastic afternoon. The staff were so lovely, friendly and accommodating. We were looked after so well. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and very filling with unlimited tea, scones and sandwiches. The atmosphere was relaxing with live piano music. Overall a wonderful experience at this lovely hotel.

Our family had a fantastic time at the Princess Tea at the Rubens last week! The food and service were outstanding, and we appreciated the attention to our girls, who felt very special. We would highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of dining with my friend for Champagne Afternoon. It was the best I have ever had. The food was delicious especially the cakes i have no words. The service was excellent. Ellie was very attentive and friendly she made recommendations which were spot on. Rushed and Oliver was very friendly and helpful. Oliver took photos of us outside the stunning entrance. Raj the guest service manager was also very helpful.Thank you very much for a fantastic time. Big shout out to the concierge guy in the red overcoat I forgot his name. He was extremely fun to talk with. Thank you for being amazing.

Better service at Mcdonalds.£60 to get ignored and bored waiting for service.We almost walked out without paying as we waited so long to settle up, and after getting the bill I wish we had!2 teas and 4 tiny scones for £60.It's not worth it.

Afternoon Tea at The Rubens
April 19, 2023. I had my first every afternoon tea at The Rubens in 2019. I knew I had to come back. I returned with my mom, sister and friend. It was absolutely amazing. We were treated like royalty, even thought we were a little harried from a fast paced changing of the guard walking tour. Everything was perfect, the tea selection was large and varied. I had the bottomless champagne selection and my glass was never empty. There was a great selection of tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam. The dessert were so fitting for a “Royal Tea”. I can’t praise The Rubens enough, such an unforgettable experience!

Afternoon Tea at The Rubens
We had the vegetarian tea. The atmosphere and location were great. Service was great. The food was just okay. The sweets were especially disappointing. With one exception (the chocolate cherry mousse), they were dry and gritty. My children didn't even eat them. We were hoping for decadent. The standard desserts at the tables around us looked more decadent. Since we are vegetarian, not vegan, and were served sandwiches and clotted cream with dairy in them, we were confused why the vegetarian treats matched the vegan menu rather than the regular menu. At this price, I wouldn't go again.

Afternoon tea at the Rubens was delightful at the holidays. Delicious food, drinks, and the garden fairytale tea was very flavorful. Kalpita, took wonderful care of me and well. I highly recommend!
