I have been a customer at Clapham Optician for many years and have always received a very professional and friendly service. I did go to another optician for a short period of time as it was closer to where I lived, I did not get the same level of service and soon went back. Since Mr Clapham retired his son Nick Clapham and his team continues this high quality service. I have recently purchased a pair of glasses and the fit and vision are perfect. I would highly recommend Clapham Optical for service, quality and expertise.

This was my first visit to an independent optician and I cannot recommend Clapham Optical highly enough. From start to finish the service was highly professional and the quality of my new glasses is exceptional.Two things stood out. One was how well equipped the clinic was for my eye test. I have never previously been offered an OCT scan but now Clapham have a 3D scan of the layers in the back of my eye so they can monitor whether my eye health changes over time. Everything is healthy now but it is reassuring to have that benchmark for the future.The other thing that stood out was the care that went into fitting my glasses. Nick talked through what I wanted and suggested some frames that would suit me best. After I chose one, he took several measurements of how the frame sat on my face so the lenses would be perfectly aligned with my eyes.I didn't expect my vision to be better than with my previous glasses but there has been a noticeable improvement. Super friendly, professional, caring and helpful. I have been using Clapham for the last 6 years and have worn glasses/contact lenses since school age. I have experienced many different opticians, including high street chains, however Clapham have excelled themselves. The service you receive at Clapham is personal, tailored to you, your needs and budget. Their staff have helped with choosing frames, advised on lens type, thickness and weight, truly experts in their field. Even once your glasses/lenses are delivered, the aftercare is amazing. They have repaired and adjusted glasses without any quibble. I would not hesitate to recommend Clapham Optical to anyone seeking individual, independent, high quality care and attention. I currently live in France and think I might possibly be the most socially distanced customer Clapham Optical have dealt with recently. Following an eye test and consultation during my last visit to the UK, all my details were kept on their computer so that when I needed a new pair of spectacles, I was able to deal with the company by telephone and e-mail exclusively.I have previously received excellent care from Clapham Optical, but on this occasion speed was of the essence with my order as it was to be couriered to me by friends who were travelling to France. Yet again - and perhaps moreso given the circumstances - I was so delighted by the good communication, the prompt attention and the excellent customer service I received.I am so very grateful to Liz and Nick for the efforts that they and the company made on my behalf – they stepped up to the challenge and succeeded over and above my expectations and consequently, I would be delighted to recommend their services to others.

I have always had great service from every one at Clapham's nothing is too much trouble. The eyewear range is huge and the advice given was superb eventually decided on Raen glasses which didn’t disappoint great quality hence now having 3 pairs. I had an issue with the last pair of glasses which was a manufacturing issue which is unusual with Raen glasses but was dealt with really quickly and a replacement ordered without any issues. I cannot recommend Clapham's enough all My family use them and recommend to friends all the time. Thanks again to Nick and the Team

I recently purchased glasses from Clapham Optical and I cannot praise enough the impressive customer experience and quality and speed of service I experienced. The team were amazing. I love my glasses or at least I did until I recently broke them during CV19. I called the shop without leaving a message and with no expectation of a call back - but I got one! Not only did I get a call, but thanks to Nick my glasses were repaired with new parts within days, and at a very reasonable price. Having used a large High Street opticians for years I can honestly say my return to an independent family run business who values it's customers, has made me realise what I've been missing out on! If you want to support an independent business who takes pride in the quality of the products and service it offers then give it a go!

I have been a customer of Clapham since childhood and am now in my 50’s. This is a family run business who take pride in providing you with a faultless, friendly service. What you get with Clapham is a 5* experience. The reception team offer a friendly greeting and can handle any enquiry asked of them. The opticians are thorough and the frames, lens advice is exceptional.The products at Clapham are good value for money if you are not into ‘cheap and cheerful’. I have never had to return an item or ask for adjustments of any kind.You know your sight is cared for when you visit Clapham. No hard sale, just good advice and exceptional help if you need it.

Excellent service. Having demanded a refund from Specsavers because they did not know how to fit glasses I found Clapham Eye Care.I cannot recommend them enough. They are very professional and take their time to make sure your glasses are the correct fit and style for you. Very pleased with my new glasses.

I recently realised that I've been with Claphams for over 20 years. Mr Clapham has retired but the optician in Totton is so professional and friendly. They've also invested in the latest technology which makes each visit quick and very informative. Can't recommend highly enough.
