Helen is a wonderful trainer. Calm, knowledgeable and full of great, inexpensive home made ideas for puppy brain games. I just had the three hour long sessions of one to one training in which I was trained probably more than my puppy - which, I think, is the point. We have to learn to look after our dogs properly. I've signed up for puppy group training as well. Can't wait.

We’ve really enjoyed Helen’s puppy classes. She’s made it a fun learning experience and taught us some great first commands. Hoping to continue our training with her in the future. Highly recommended ☺️

When I discovered Helen Pond, I was thrilled. At a ripe old age, I decided to get a puppy (a little Cavashon called Honey). I have had dogs before, but never a puppy. I was exhausted, anxious and all at sea. Via one to one sessions, Helen instituted a regime of training which helped create a framework of bonding and discipline between the puppy and myself. Helen is full of practical advice and support and her first thought is always for the care and safety of the dog. One year on, and Honey and I are rubbing along peacefully and happily together. I cannot thank Helen enough for her care and attention. Thoroughly recommended.

Helen’s expertise, calmness and ingenuity has been invaluable in helping me train two young rescue dogs. She has a wealth of experience, a friendly manner and is clear and professional. Helen is an amazing trainer, so patient and helpful! My Frenchie Puppy Bleu has just graduated from Puppy Classes with Helen and it has been a wonderful experience from start to finish! Helens classes are packed full of knowledge and experience which allowed me to have the confidence/resources to be able to continue training Bleu at home outside of classes and allow me to create a beautiful environment for him to thrive in! I would highly recommend Helen and her training to anyone and Bleu cannot wait to move up to to the Level 1 grade soon and continue his training with Helen in the future! Thank you so much!

Helen is working with us and our vizsla puppy, she is open and honest with us and our expectations, she helps us to work as a team and also as a family we have three small children and Helen is great at including them in the training and makes sure we are all on the same page.It’s still early days with our puppy but from what Helen has already taught us we have seen great work from our pup, we are very lucky to have her.

We chose Helen’s Hounds for our puppy classes as she is both IMDT and APDT qualified which was important to us. I’m so glad we did as they have been totally brilliant!Helen is super kind and patient, explains things very clearly and also the reason why we are doing the exercise and how that would help us out in the real world.It was a really fun class to attend and lovely to learn alongside the other puppies. We felt fully supported at all times and never pressured to do something that wouldn’t work for our puppy.Fifi, French Bulldog, took to it like a duck to water and absolutely LOVED it! I loved the sense of achievement I felt when Fifi and I aced an exercise and it was also a wonderful bonding experience with her.Helen offers follow on classes and we will definitely be continuing our training with Helen and very much look forward to doing so.Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience Helen and we will see you soon.

Helen has been a great trainer. We started taking our dog at 3 months. She is now just 5 months and she is nearly completing level 2. Helen is so knowledgable and makes small suggestions that make all the difference. If you have a puppy, I’d say don’t hesitate to come to classes!!!!
