So far the best arts and crafts speciality store I've been to in Cardiff!Only a 15min walk from the Capitol in the city centre; located inside an old church building. Walking down Newport road away from town it will be the THIRD church spire you will see in the distance.I was only in there for a short time - I called in advance to check they had the gold fabric paint I wanted - but I was able to browse their wide selection of knitting and sewing paraphernalia. In the back room they have all sorts of paper and card supplies, unfortunately I didn't have time to fully explore on this occasion.The entrance confused me at first! Once you enter through the main entrance, take the door to your left to find the arts and crafts (on the day I went, the door on the right was locked, but I believe it leads to the Framing service.)They offer a 10% student discount, making my purchase (Pebeo fabric paint in shimmer gold - £3.92) cheaper than anywhere I could find online. The young lady who spoke on the phone to me and served me in store was friendly and helpful - in fact it was she who asked if I had a student card, if not I wouldn't have known about the discount!Overall great experience, I will definitely be back. This is my go-to place for arts and crafts from now on!

Inkspot has many spaces for hire, set in the beautiful, character filled old church on Clifton Street, recent events range from small intimate gatherings to weddings, sold out music events, art exhibitions and kids parties to name a few. Reliable family run business with its roots in the arts and crafts there are also studio spaces for hire. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful old church , this place has so much potential for bands to play in. It runs various workshops too, pay it a visit soon!

Only seems to be open when they feel like it. There's a 50/50 chance it'll be shut if you arrive between 10:00-17:30.Don't bother calling them, you'll get an answer machine that says they'll get back to you... They never do.They guy who runs the framing department always seems grumpy, tired and dishevelled. Getting full sentences from him is hard. This makes communication difficult.Ink spot's picture mounting is very inconsistent. It's either brilliant or very sloppy. I've had 5 pictures mounted there. The first two were great, the subsequent 3 were not symmetrical i.e the top margins and bottom margins are not the same size so the picture was not central within the frame. So, by those odds, there's a 60% failure rate with their mounting, which is unacceptable.Last mount I had made, did not meet the agreed timescale (5 days). When I arrived to collect, the assistant looked at me blankly, like they had no idea what I was talking about, then suddenly remembered and apologised for forgetting... They hadn't even started! So I had to wait 3 more days. No refund or discount was offered.If you're looking to get a frame or mount made, go anywhere but here. You'd probably have better results watching a YouTube tutorial and doing it yourself! Other places may have a slightly higher cost but at least it'll be straight and made on time. You get what you pay for.Seriously... The basic functions of business and customer service do not apply at Inkspot. Simply terrible

This venue is not actually accessible to wheelchairs. There is a ramp on the outside, but you can't open both doors as one side has rusted bolts. The main venue space is up a flight of stairs with no lift or stair lift.There should be no wheelchair icon on the site information.

Went here today for the flea market as we booked a table. Unfortunately, being a Sunday, not many came in but LUSH place and Andy who runs it was great! Google needs to update as you said it was closed today

Always take my pics here to be framed.Professional framer understands what you need. Bookings by appointment travel a few miles to Cardiff to have framing done wouldn't trust anyone else and prices are very reasonable. Long may they operate. Thank you once again. A lot of reviews saying this is closed. Take no notice they are definitely still open.

A very tucked away and happy little arts and crafts shop in Cardiff it takes place within a small church and is absolutely worth a visit some fantastic local Cardiff clothes and art creative always tend to gather here which makes it a nice place if they have an event on

the place where the vein of creativity flows amongst other similar minded and age is just a number

I really enjoyed this venue. My son Pip Razkid Erasmus was performing there. It's a fab church being put to good use for the community. Lovely bar for drinks attached to a quiet seating area. Fab security. Shame the smoking area was in the street whereas the chip shop was opposite. Very busy safe area with like-minded people
