Authentic Indian food. Excellent quality and ample portions. Our goto takeaway.

3rd time we've been here and once again really impressed. Piping hot foil boxed dishes. You can see everything happening in the kitchen area behind the counter - always a good sign when they're happy for customers to see the cooking going on. All 4 mains tasted great as did the breads and side dishes. Reasonably priced too. Mumbai Central is now our go to place for an Indian takeaway.

Thought we’d give this place a try after getting a new menu through the door. Really nice dishes. Not sure some of the “bland” reviews. We thought this was really tasty. If your looking for a new curry house I’d give this a try.

WOW. We haven't had an indian meal for ages and we saw the take away open nearby us and decided to try them out. The food was amazing, the best we've had in a long time. It arrived quickly and was super hot and they even gave us a couple of free Poppadum's which was a really lovely touch. The staff are all friendly, helpful. We will be buying from this take-away again.

Best prawn Bhuna I have ever had. The prawns were cooked to perfection not over cooked and chewy like most Indian takeaways. Very impressed and will be returning.

Tried for the first time tonight. Can't fault it. Had the garlic mix tikka karahi, something I'd never heard of before, and it tasted fantastic. Had a load of side dishes, reasonable price, and it turned up within half an hour, piping hot.

I decided to try this take out after a few friends recommended it because they loved the cuisine it offered. I ordered a Set Meal for Four, which was offered at a generous price and I absolutely loved the masala and the rice was cooked beautifully. The service was lovely and delivery was very fast. All food arrived still hot and nothing had been missing. When I called to enquire as I needed help on what to order, the staff were very helpful and nice. All food included was beautifully cooked and authentic, and overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We ordered from this takeaway tonight (23/07/2022) after receiving an impressive marketing letter and menu. We thought it was only fair to give this place a go. The letter itself highlights the business’s aim to “exceed customer expectations” and to “set standards for others to follow”. How can we not try this place out? After all, there is already some tough competition in Shoebury when it comes to Indian restaurants! So then, the meal itself. Overall, it was VERY disappointing. The poppadoms were burnt, the sauces were of small portions, and the meat samosas were the equivalent of what you’d get from an Asda ready meal! The ‘Mumbai Special’ did not go down that well at all. You really had to see it to believe it - bland cold lamb with very little sauce. The size of the dish was abysmal too, most of it was just cold random veggies. The dish is advertised on the menu as being hot (spicy), but it was as spicy as a Chicken Korma!Chicken Tikka Masala is usually a good metric to use against Indian takeaways, but when compared to other places, it really isn’t that great at all.I for one certainly won’t be rushing back to try this place out. They claim on the marketing letter that they will “provide the finest Indian food in this area”. What an absolute joke! Save your money and stick to your usual Indian takeaway. On a separate note, the location of this takeaway does have a history of being several different Indian takeouts. The last place was called The Shapla I believe, and before that we had Mr India, YumYum, A Taste of India… the list goes on! Not sure if it’s the same people, but if something doesn’t work, clearly you should do yourself a favour and close for good!

TBF, I ordered the same meal as I do from other outlets for a fair comparison. Now, for a new startup with their best chef and discount"... it was shockingly bland

Ordered from sushi menu. Was told it would be ready in 30mibs. When arrived hadn't started order. They clarified 1 of the dishes was without veg. Took 15mins for order to be done. When got it home even though it said no veg on lid of tub it had veg in it. Food was good but very disorganised and can't follow a request.
