great customer service from ethan, very welcoming and helpful worker. he helped me find the item i went in looking for last week.

I went in for some walking shoes, found a pair that said £125 but the sticker in the shoe said £69, I obviously thought they were in the sale. Took them to the till, they came up at £125. I said the price in the shoe is different but he want letting me have them at that price. I said as a customer I should get them at the price seen. So I left didn't buy the other item either and went elsewhere

DO NOT use Blacks if Evri are the courier. I purchased £470 worth of bags from Blacks and was not given the option to pickup in store which is my preferred method. Sadly their courier is Evri and this is where the problem starts. A reported 'You were not in delivery' was reported on the Evri App. No further attempts of delivery after this. 4 days later I contacted Blacks who to be fair responded immediately stating they had been lost in Transit and my card would be refunded. This is the second time Evri have 'LOST' deliveries. I will not be buying from Blacks or their parent companies whilst they continue to use Evri.

I bought a waterproof jacket which was sold as ‘breathable’. On the label it said it would keep me dry on the outside and on the inside. It was not breathable and made me sweat profusely on the inside. I took it back two days after I bought it and the young supervisor had a very bad attitude towards me. I explained the situation and was made to feel like I was lying and being untruthful. That jacket was sold as breathable and it definitely wasn’t, it’s as simple as that. It was almost like she was expected to give me a refund out of her own pocket. I needed to sign a couple of slips and she banged the pen on the desk to show her disdain. I have 30 minutes for lunch and certainly wouldn’t have trecked across town if it wasn’t necessary. That young female supervisor was very rude with an unprofessional, unfriendly attitude and I’ll never spend my money in that shop again, nor would I recommend it.

These guys are con artists. Bought some Peter Storm walking boots £75 supposedly on a sale. Needed to buy new laces day one and after a few weeks the left insole kept sliding out so needed to but new insoles. Looked on Amazon and same boots off a sale £60. Avoid these guys if you don't want to get fleeced.

Good selection of outdoor clothing at low to high prices sale items very reasonably priced much cheaper than Go Outdoor on Clough Road were you have to buy a discount card to get sale prices looking for anorak at Go sale price £32 + discount card priced at £5 making a total of £37 purchased at Black's for £32

Went in yesterday morning (14/12/19) store was busy and so we're the staff in general.I wanted help to find something I had seen online and I asked a girl who was near the front.I got told that they didn't stock everything in the store that was stocked online but I can check if its abailable to order if you want"The thing is I hadn't even finished describing what it was before she abruptly told me this in a very unfriendly way
