The Trouville Hotel
We had a last minute change of accommodation and booked the Trouville for an overnight stay.It was a great location for the town and seafront; the rooms were comfortable, warm and clean (short on towels so reception had to provide these along with loo rolls); breakfast was satisfactory. The staff were all pleasant and kindly allowed us to leave cases on an early arrival and the following day so we were able to enjoy our time without taking them with us.The leisure suite wasn't open and neither was the coffee machine at breakfast - the heating was clearly working though as it was on all night so far too warm in the bedroom - just a comment not a criticism but with today's heating costs I'm sure they could save a few pounds! We'll return

It's Fawlty Towers ran by crooks. Please don't be encouraged by their flashy social media ads or cheap weekend offers either. The place is cheap for a reason. The hotel needs to change hands to new owners and good investors with common sense, knowledge and hire a whole new team of honest trustworthy staff.None of the current staff can be trusted not even the bar staff, who charge you various prices for the same drinks. The staff don't even communicate greatly to each other never mind thepaying guests. The only places with CCTV in the establishment are in the reception, behind the bar, swimming pool and the car park. None in the hallways, lifts, stairwells or landings which is very suspect. The bar staff, do charge you for drinks at different prices for the same drinks. Whoever is in charge of staff training is not doing their job. The bosses have no control over anything apart from looking good in-front of the camera for publicity photos. The staff at the front desk are very rude, obnoxious, arrogant and unhelpful. There is ZERO communication unless you call grunting or mumbling as talking.Please...If you don't like working in hospitality or dealing with the public then change your job... it will do everyone a favour especially the paying public. If you make complaints to the staff, they are not interested about it and you will go round in circles or left waiting for 'manager' all the staff claim to be a or THE manager, try waiting for the RIGHT manager they never appear. You are nuisance to them not a customer.we had break in and had money and substantial amount of jewellery taken. I never never been burgled prior to this in any hotel. Before we left the hotel to go out my wife places things in a specific way and manner due to OCD. We were only gone for several hours to enjoy the surrounding towns like we normally do.When we returned to the room (203 bang opposite the cleaners office) this is when we saw our luggage bags have been rifled through and things were moved, removed and disturbed when they didn't need to be. The money well hidden in a case. No cleaner even had to touch them to the clean the room, unless they were on the steal! It's obvious it is going to be inside job, because only the staff would have access to the rooms and there was no damage to door or frame or any other signs of damage. I have done some security and insurance work in the past for a few years. So I know what to look out for.Of course the first thing we did was notified the front desk, only then to get confronted, fobbed off by useless, lying staff members with zero initiative/sense and communication skills. They said they will call the police but they never did. Astonishingly the so-called head receptionist admitted its our responsibility after we called the police again to confirm and ask if hotel staff really did notify the police. The police had no record of any phone call made by the hotel staff. So please not readers. It's not the staff/management problem when a crime is happening there! You have to do it all, the only thing hotel will do is give you a free drink then they try to sweep under the rug.So if see the hotel being vandalised, broken into and burgled does that mean the public should ignore it and just walk away without contacting the police, because it's not our problem?!We called the police ASAP ourselves but was told by an officer that we couldn't leave the hotel as it was now crime scene and they be round or call us back. (Those were the Police words not ours, so we couldn't leave the hotel we had to stay.)The manager or a so-called manager did speak was like talking to brick wall, you go round in ever decreasing circles trying to resolve a complaint!A note to any reputable hotel manger that receives applications or curriculum vitae's from people, that have worked at the Trouville Hotel. Please, please discard the application forms and don't hire them.

We had a room that had just been redecorated, so we had no issues with the rooms. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help you. The cleaning staff cleaned the room and topped up the tea and coffee and biscuits. The food was very good and of a very high standard. The facilities like the gym and pool were small but nice as well as the pool being hot.

The entrance and facilities of the hotel look ok but then you get to your room. Picture faulty towers! Not clean and so old and tired. Wardrobe slightly broken. No toilet roll. Shower head doesn’t stay up. Dirty towel in room. It’s quite funny it’s so awful. Bouncy beds too!

Our room was very modern and tidy with a tea and coffee station. The only downside was how hot the room was! We ended up having to keep both windows wide open and propping the nets open with our luggage. Overall a lovely stay and a 5 minute walk from the town centre.

At check in time, room not ready. A hour later got upgraded to a suite room which was lovely, it then next day discovered bed bugs! Shocking! Poorly handled by housekeeping, tried to hoover the bugs away. Was promised a free nights stay. Emailed the management and was ignored.. I think this was offered to me sweet. Such a shame as location is spot on and although the hotel is little tired, previously had enjoyed a stay there, which was we re booked. I will think twice next time. Shame on you and your poor management

We had a really good stay here a few weeks ago. We opted for the 3 course meal with Frank Sinatra tribute night, really enjoyed the whole experience. The manager is absolutely 1st class, really easy to talk too and we found him to be reassuringly great. The hotel staff are good and friendly, nothing seemed to much. The rooms, slightly dated but offered comfortable surroundings and a warm environment. We would stay here again. Off street carparking which is chargeable but ok as connected to the hotel. Close to the towns facilities despite being on a hill but then Bournemouth is hilly. Good breakfast too.

Very tired and could do with a good revamp and modernisation program, the room was clean but the furniture was old, again the bathroom looked as though it had been refurbished and the floor was held together by gaffer tape, cups that were placed with the tea making facilities in the room weren't clean had to have them changed, no apologies or excuses. Breakfast is okay and a good choice of food, this is the only positive really, and 12 pounds for 24hr parking was quite expensive. It's the type of hotel you wouldn't visit twice and I wouldn't recommend it either. Couldn't book in until 3 O'clock dead, been to many hotels but if the room was ready they would let you have the key. Overall score would be 2 out of 5, I wouldn't go there twice, once bitten as they say

Parking available at £12 a day/night on site. The hotel is a little outdated in general, but our room was in more need. Mould in the wardrobe, and bathroom, and damp smell as soon as we walked in. The beds were very comfy and the staff very nice. It's a 3 minute walk to the BIC.Breakfast was nice with plenty of options.
