I spent some time working in Hingham and had the pleasure of visiting this tea shop a number of times. The owner and staff were quite lovely and treated my colleagues and I with top notch service. The food was wonderful and the friendly banter with the workers and customers made me miss home just a little less.

Typical English cafeteria with a great variety of food either breakfast or Lunch. It offers English breakfast ( vegetarian option available).Cakes, smothies, panini, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, fish and ships. Also, great variety of hot or cold drinks, among others.I have added some photos where you can have an idea not only how the place looks but also some part of the menu and the cakes that this place offers.The service is ok and the prices are not cheap but not very expensive either.Típica cafetería inglesa con desayuno y platos ingleses.Tienen gran variedad de tortas típicas inglesas, de limón, chocolate, de café entre otras.El lugar es agradable, no es barato pero tampoco caro.En las fotos que he publicado puedes ver parte del menú y sus precios.

Situated in the lovely historical village of Hingham, the Chalfonts tea room is deceptively large, however it only has a couple of tables that are wheelchair accessible, the remaining being accessed via a small set of stairs.The food is good, reasonably priced and delivered with a smile. Whilst they don't by any means specialise in food allergies and intolerances, they are more than willing to work with you to change dishes where possible.I went for the full English, modified to be suitable for my dietary requirements and I can honestly say it was absolutely lovely + of a really good portion size!!

This was a disappointing cafe stop. I ordered a tea, which came to the table with milk already in & the teabag already out. No cutlery or napkins for mine or my partner’s lunch. My tuna mayo sandwich had way, way too much mayo in and although this could be down to personal preference, I couldn’t bring myself to eat a bite. It was just so liquid! The staff were all sat on a table next to us but nobody checked on our food or drinks. Perhaps we visited on a bad day or chose poorly from the menu, as all the other reviews are so glowing. But no napkins or cutlery for the side salad… really?

Perfectly cooked and presented full English breakfast. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.Highly recommended and i hope the picture shows how great the food is.
