Saddler's Of Forfar

Just visited the shop i asked to purchase two hot steak pies , I was told pies were hot and straight out the oven , pies were in fact cold ,tastless ,and greasy. The woman who served us was coughing , abrupt and unpleasant, she also touched the pies with her hands with no use of gloves or tongs and no handwashing before handling food . She then went on to do the same with the caramel slices I asked for . She took our money then proceeded to serve another customer in this manner straight after us with no washing of hands . Disgusting service not recommended unless you want to risk your health .

Absolutely love this wee place, my gf n me were doing a road trip and were heading to arbroath and at the last minute took a detour to go forfar as I was in here as a dumbarton fan a while ago before the game, anyway, it was sooo worth it! Better than I remembered too my lass loved it one of thee tastiest things I've ever ate in my life! Cakes were lovely too, also we explored the town and I must recommend forfar meffin museum! It's awsome all in all a great wee town love it here!

I love to support local businesses but I didn't get a good feeling when I visited sadly. No one came over and I had to go over and ask if we pick a table. It fealt like it was a inconvenience to have people wanting to sit in for food. After we sat down we waited a while and went to order to find there was nothing on the menu we actually wanted. A bit more enthusiasm would have gone a long way. Left and went to a different tea room along the road where the customer service was fantastic. Sorry I won't be back.

Best baker in Forfar.!Recently visited town for a short break.Bridies from Saddlers, best baker in Forfar. Took a few home to freeze.Also tried steak pie, carrot cake, both delicious.Lovely shop with small cafe.Will be back ,definitely recommend.

Great little bakery and coffee shop. Bridies to die for not surprisingly

Spending 2 weeks on a training course in Forfar so decided I needed to try a traditional bridie before I finished. Opted for the larger size of two available with the traditional short crust rather than the flaky option. It was indeed a very tasty thing and the chips were decent too. Server was very friendly and helpful and my food was delivered quickly too. Have another week on the course so think I will definitely be going back before next Friday!
