Tip Top Nails

I don’t know if it’s the product or application but nails done here don’t last long. I had acrylic infill and white tips done in gel. Within a few hours they had chipped on the edges which is odd considering it’s gel and never usually happens when I go elsewhere (the gel polish lasts for weeks and I just have to get infills where it grows out. No chipping). I went back and had them redone and now 2 days later my nails are chipped and a mess again. I’m going to have to file them and paint with normal polish myself and these were supposed to be my holidays nails :(Pedicure was ok.

The staff here are wonderful, so friendly and talented. Every time I come here I am amazed at the work they do, I am beyond pleased with my nails everytime.

Very reasonably priced. Can get very busy with no appointment booking system - just sit & wait. Would recommend early on a Saturday morning unless you don't mind waiting up to hr when busiest.

Had my nails done for £45 and they lasted 4 days then fell off. Wouldn’t recommend here.

Had my acrylic nails done there and they cut them to the length I wanted and then kept cutting them shorter and shorter so now they are a lot shorter then I wanted. And my nails are quite sore which I’ve never had that with my usual nail tech. They don’t really listen to what you want. And they only take cash probably to con the government

I tried two other nail salons in the town when I first moved to the area and didn’t like them so was so glad when Tip Top opened - I’ve been going since they opened and they always do a lovely job with my nails. Always polite, quick and efficient. Would strongly recommend calling in advance to check when is a good time to pop in because they can get quite busy.

Not a great experience. First my daughter was booked in for acrylic and tips £28 at 12:00 not seen until 12:30. Then tried to up sell to gel nails (£40) Very had to communicate. Made it very clear multiple times to both people my daughter saw she wanted acrylic and tips only and they agreed until it came to paying when they tried to charge £40 as they had done gel nails after multiple times of agreeing not to. I refused to pay the extra and they did agree in the end to charge the £28 due to communicate breakdown and their error after some back a forth. Daughter is happy with the nails but all became a unnecessary ordeal. Her mum can take her somewhere to get it done next time lol

AVOID.I used to be a regular customer, until I had an incident prior to lockdown with a gel pedicure. The quality of the polish was poor and came off which was odd with it being gel. I called right way, the lady said to come back in. Shortly after this incident we went into lockdown. Following the 2nd lockdown I phoned and she then refused to honour reapplying the gel nails.Despite there being a lockdown and me being a loyal customer. At this point I said I would never go back however I wanted some last minute nails done and thought I would go back. I phoned ahead and booked an appointment, when I arrived the place was packed. There were even people coming in saying they had appointments booked but were not being seen too either. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked them how long it would be as I had asked over the phone and they told me to come down and I would be able to get them done leaving me with the impression that someone was free to do them. They then sat me on a nail bar seat and I waited a further 20 minutes. When I got their attention again I asked how long is it going to be and she replied another 30 minutes. At this point, I was left with no other option but to leave. They were being greedy by taking in all the customers they could get with no intention to give a good customer service. Communication skills are lacking and they are very rude! I would not recommend nor will I be going back as they do not deserve the business

I have been coming here for over a year. The manicurist at this location are professional . They spend time trimming your cuticles so they look perfect; and spend time with the gel to ensure it is just the right shape. They have tons of fun colors and styles. The products she uses are top-notch. Plan to spend a little time there; perfection does take a little more time. I love it :))
