Hubby wanted new walking boots and got some. Although despite telling the shop assistant what he wanted they did not seem able to point him in the right direction. However having chosen a pair the assistant was very helpful in getting the right size and going for the next size up when the original pair weren't quite big enough. Otherwise the shop was well stocked with alsorts of equipment etc.

I've shopped at the Carlisle shop a few times. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. If I need equipment for outdoors I recommend this branch.

Ordered a pair of boots to collect. When I ordered them the staff in the shop were fine. Today different staff completely different attitude. Not polite. Did not seem interested. Perhaps they could learn to do more than one job at a time.New boots are fine though

We visited here this Sunday and purchased a coat, the young lady here made us feel very uneasy. She kept watching us as though we were about to steal something. The coat was expensive (albeit correctly priced) and had security wires on. If we were attempting to steal it, perhaps this wouldn’t have been the best item to choose! It felt very judgemental and off putting and had it not been for us needing this coat immediately we’d have purchased it elsewhere.

I used to be a bit skeptical about millets but this is a cracking shop. Great range of the essentials and some nice gadgets. They do the entry level stuff but also have some good brands. Also the staff were superb, very patient and knowledgeable.

Moved into town, mad place, they advertise clothes at one price then when you get to the till it's doubled in price, then they tell you you can get it at the advertised price but you have to be a member, unfortunately the staff are at the front end of this ridiculous business model, presumably the idea is you're supposed to be embarrassed and either pay the unadvertised price or become a member...crazy

Brilliant outdoor and practical shop. Staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Manageress is excellent at what she does and knows. Nice to have such expertise and great advice with excellent customer service!

Excallent service here in Carlisle,and it's good to recognise the fact.I recently bought a number of item's,all clothing,and needed some advice on sizing,fit and the like.Every member of staff combines courtesy,product knowledge and efficiency.Very satisfied indeed.
