The Barn on The Bay Wedding Venue

Can’t thank barn on the bay enough for the most amazing wedding day for my daughter and son in law. The venue is stunning the staff were fantastic working behind the scenes ensuring everything went smoothly from start to finish. We didn’t have to do anything other than enjoy the day. We had our wedding at the Barn On The Bay in September 2023 and everything was beautiful from start to finish!Our ceremony took place on the beach with stunning views of the Northumbrian coastline, followed by a drinks reception in the outdoor paddock, with our main meal and evening reception in the barn itself.The rustic touches are exactly what we both wanted on the day - the barn has a cosy, rustic feel with fab attention to detail, and there was plenty of space for our 80 guests right through to the evening. We also opted for the vintage tractor transport to the beachside ceremony area from the barn, and this went down a treat with our guests. The barn is full of these extra special and quirky touches really making for a unique day.Our food was fantastic (farm-style barbecue consisting of slow-cooked pulled beef and sides), Sea Change wine delicious, and drinks overall reasonably priced with a great selection from cocktails to local ale.Staff couldn't do enough for us both leading up to our wedding and on the day. Their knowledge, advice, recommendations and friendly service kept us at ease throughout the whole process from start to finish, especially our wedding coordinator Nicola. Sophie, Alison, Phil and the rest of the team also put huge effort into what they do day to day and we really appreciate everything they all did for us to make our day so special and personal.We would highly recommend this beautiful venue for those looking for something local, rustic, and of course an appreciation for the Northumbrian coast. We were so fortunate to have the weather on our side on our special day meaning a great deal of our wedding was spent outdoors, even seeing dolphins swimming past after our ceremony! Stunning venue!! Beautiful location for a wedding.

We had our wedding here July 2022 and enjoyed every minute of it. Nicola, the wedding coordinator ensured the day went smoothly. The owners Alison and Phil have worked very hard to create a stunning wedding venue. We chose the 2 night package and it was definitely worth it. Our guests commented on how relaxed and good the day was, with many of them taking a few minutes away to enjoy the sunny beach! Thank you Barn on the Bay!

I had the absolute delight of capturing my first wedding at the Barn on the BAY recently, and it was an experience that truly exceeded my expectations. While I had heard and seen many positive things about this venue online, I must admit that what I encountered in person was nothing short of amazing. The natural and charm of the place with a fantastic team and beautiful location just makes it quite unique.The Kind of couples who choose a venue like this. Becky and Johnny, the lovely couple I had the privilege of photographing, epitomized those who appreciate life's finest offerings - exquisite food, great company, and the breathtaking Northumberland coastline. Earthy very real, and make the most of the beauty that we have white under noses in Northumberland There are few wedding venues that are so perfectly situated near one of the most stunning stretches of the UK's shoreline.The staff at the Barn on the Bay were exceptionally welcoming and gracious, not only to the families and friends of the bride and groom but also to the suppliers like me. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed to capture a remarkable collection of photographs for the couple.I can personally recommend exceptional quality of the food served to the guests, which I had the pleasure of enjoying myself. It stands out as some of the finest wedding food I have ever had the privilege of savoring, and I have had my fair share!I sincerely hope for the opportunity to document many more weddings here! bravo !

Barn on the Bay were everything you could ever want from a venue and more. With a wealth of experience, a stunning venue, beautifully cooked food and a genuine interest from every staff member in your relationship, guests and the wedding day itself I'd give them 7 stars if it was an option.We felt supported right from the moment we stepped in the venue on the open day. They have systems and relationships with vendors in place that make everything seamless. Nicola and Sophie were on hand throughout to answer questions, advise and bring the excitement. One of the most fantastic parts of the journey was going to a food tasting evening where you got to experience the venue in full party mode and really get to know the staff and the venue which meant we felt completely at home on our wedding day. I cannot recommend this venue and the team that work here enough!

As a wedding photographer I have the pleasure of photographing at many wedding venues across the North East. Barn on the Bay is one of my absolute favourite venues. The variety of the barn, outdoor areas and the beach make it an incredible space for any wedding.Something as a photographer that is often overlooked is how nice the staff are at a venue, the team at Barn on the Bay go above and beyond and treat suppliers amazingly, so imagine what they are like with their couples.The light is also incredible, the sunset drops perfectly for photos and the barn skylights means it is one of the best lighting in any barn I have been in. Not something you think about when viewing venues but it makes a huge difference for your photos.

We got married here and are so glad we did- we loved it! The venue is amazing- a really lovely barn which can be customised lots of different ways to adapt to whatever style you like and right by the most beautiful beach. We also loved the on-site accommodation- a cottage, a big bunk house and glamping pods which meant we could make a weekend of it by the beach. The team are amazing- so friendly and helpful and all over everything meaning the organisation was super easy and fun. Would HIGHLY recommend it to anybody considering it as their venue.

As soon as we went to see The Barn on the Bay we knew that it was the perfect venue for us to get married. Druridge Bay is our favourite beach and the location of The Barn on the Bay is particularly stunning. Alison, Phil, Nicola and the entire team were super friendly, supportive and always happy to help. They helped make the entire wedding preparation process relaxed, manageable and lots of fun! They got on board with our many ideas and helped us come up with loads of special touches for the day. On the actual wedding weekend they were invaluable, allowing us to thoroughly relax and enjoy the entire time. All of our guests commented on how friendly and approachable they were. We are extremely grateful for everything that The Barn on the Bay did in helping us create the perfect weekend for our wedding. We would without a doubt recommend this venue and The Barn on the Bay team to anyone!
