Been back. I like this place and the staff are nice people. We were entertaining family so took them there for a meal around half five. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Starters were fine, maybe a bit skimpy, but nicely presented and hot. Now both my son's and my main meal were a bit lacking, not overly impressed with the new potatoes, seemingly reheated, but what bugs me most is that they were served on stone cold dishes. I wouldn't do that at home.Also there was some very loud guy amongst a group of men who could not refrain from swearing every other word. This was pointed out to my family after we left, we didn't stop for desserts it more drinks. I had not distinguished the guy as I had turned down hearing aids to reduce his noise.Very nice, large, olde world pub, gardens and tables all with a modern twist. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very good menu. On the list to go back too.

After a 12k walk up, some hills in warm weather, this pub was a welcome sight.Their all-day Sunday lunch was good to see.I probably should have gone for the crispy chicken burger. Lamb was a bit chewy, but the portion was generous. Roast potatoes reheated so a bit dry, but hey, it was 3.45pm.Staff were excellent after an initial not being able to find our booking.Others in our party really enjoyed their food.It would be really good not to put ginger in the apple crumble. Nutmeg, or cinnamon, yes, ginger no or very small amounts.Overall, it was very good. Everyone is struggling right now, and we have to support each other to get through.Thank you, guys

Called in one lunchtime, some items on the menu were out of stock - staff explained they were waiting for a delivery, but we were offered suitable substitutions. Staff were pleasant and the pub had a nice atmosphere. The pumped coke & lemonade tasted very odd, so we swapped them for bottled versions. The meals we had were lovely. Would visit again.

Went here for Sunday lunch, really good, had roast trio dinner, as did my brother, my partner had roast beef, all very good,Also we all had deserts,very nice also. would certainly go back.Couldn't fault it.

Wow! What a great welcome and atmosphere.I never do reviews, but this is an exception.I believe the managers name was Chloe who greeted me and my partner with a warm welcome and smile! Food was quick and well priced.She cleared our plates and tried to tempt us with desert but was too full so promised to be back again for a pud! she said it’s a new menu, so at least we know what to get when we next go in as it won’t change.Great team! Keep up the good work!

100% for the staff. Chilled, efficient, friendly and helpful.Dog and family friendly, good food, decent beers. Parking could be dicey at busier times but we were in early so it was no problem.

Bustling bar this long weekend visit. Really cute low ceiling bar that you don't often see these days. Clean loos. Front parking is not huge. Good vibe and canine friendly.

Recently moved to the area, we've driven past the pub a handful of times and always said how lovely it looks. Lived up to expectations. Wonderful service and atmosphere. The chicken burger was amazing, the best chicken burger I've eaten out in a long, long time!!!
