Absent Friends

We lost our dear Guinea pig on Thursday morning and new I wanted to get him cremated, as we are moving house and I didn’t like the thought of just leaving him buried in the garden. A friend recommended Absent Friend to me and I’m so glad they did as they were kind, compassionate and supportive throughout the process as me and my husband were so upset. They offered comfort to me (which was so needed). They explained the process to me, said it was an individual cremation and when I could collect the ashes. When we went back to collect they were go sympathetic as well as this was another upsetting moment. Although losing a pet is a horrible experience they made the experience so much less distressing knowing that I had left him in their safe hands. Thank you Absent Friends, I will be recommending to others in their time of need that’s for sure.

We’ve had two pets cremated here and the empathy and care with which they treated us and our lost pets has been so helpful in mourning the loses. We knew we were leaving them in good hands and we were greatly comforted when dropping off and picking up our pets.

Highly recommend absent friends. They made everything so easy and they are so caring. I called them from the vets when we had to say goodbye to our little dog Dallas and they collected her straight away.Today we collected the items after the cremation and the paw prints are beautiful. The forget me not seeds with a lovely poem was a nice surprise. Thankyou absent friends.

Sadly we lost our darling Bichon Frise, Rags last week and telephoned Absent Friends Sunday morning to enquire regarding his cremation. In his 14 year life we had never been apart from him other than having an operation, he had never been alone. Because of this we would only consider leaving our precious pet with people we could trust to look after him and reassure us that he would be cremated individually. Sunday afternoon they took him into their safekeeping and cremated him Monday morning. The kindness and understanding shown from the moment we left him until the time we collected his ashes was unbelievable and helped us through this very sad time. A special thanks to Faye who dealt with us from that first phone call to the return of his ashes.The poem and forget-me-not seeds were a lovely gesture and very thoughtful.
