My Experience with this company.I own a VW Amarok which had the engine management light come on and a coolant leak.I had this vehicle picked up from VW Heritage, Dorchester. All seemed like a good service so far.I had a phone call from Tom the next day to deliver some bad news saying that my Amarok which has done 40k needed a new DPF system which was around £3.500.00. To my surprise I said surely this can't be gone already and he kindly raised the problem with VW to see what they can do to help. They responded with some instructions for VW Heritage to carry out and to send them the reports which they had done (so called) Tom said to me that even if VW approve to help, the parts wont be here for a few weeks so best to have the vehicle back and we will arrange to fix when they are in. He also said they will fix the coolant leak as they have the part and will drop the vehicle back around 13:00 today. Wow, top star service so far.14:30 came no vehicle? I phoned to see where abouts the vehicle is and had the most unpleasant conversation with a Dave Crane. He said to me that if you have the vehicle back now we will not honour the goodwill from VW? My reply was then why did you tell me different earlier, and I now needed the vehicle as I have made plans. He went on saying he has worked here for over 27 years and VW will not honour the good will for the DPF. David's attitude towards myself was very unprofessional to the point that I could not believe they would even let someone with his manner go near a telephone. All the other staff seemed really nice to deal with and professional. I just got the impression he did not want to deliver the vehicle because it was a Friday Afternoon and clearly had better things to be doing. Anyway. I said to drop the vehicle back after the unpleasant manner was received. Turns out the coolant leak hasn't been fixed and as the part had been paid for I asked for this to be sent as I will get this fixed elsewhere. Still no Part from VW Heritage Dorchester?Just a complete waste of time and money.

I have just purchased a vw polo from Heritage at Dorchester. The saleperson was Jon Fellows who was absolutely amazing from the introduction to the company to the test drive, the sale and the collection of the vehicle. He was very helpful and knowledgable giving full instructions and explanations on every level. Just bought my second car from Heritage Motors. The service was excellent from finding the model I wanted with the spec I wanted. Part exchange for my T Cross was on a par with online buyers. Delivery was on time and the after sales service was excellent and open ended. Technicalities explained clearly. Recommend buying a service contract. The car itself is great to drive.We had to pay £50 to change the insurance - then another £50 to change back to the old car as the new car (which we were told by Jon had arrived and that he was looking at) had not arrived. To cap it all off, we now have a Penalty Charge Notice because - Heritage did not send the V5 form off.Overall - we won't be considering Heritage again, nor would we ever recommend them. We would buy a VW again.I'm just waiting for the response from Heritage that says 'contact us and we can sort this' - well, just to confirm, we did contact you and you haven't sorted it.On reflection, it would have been cheaper to have given you the old car!

Living over a 3 hour drive from Dorchester I was very apprehensive about trading in my old car and buying a new car from this dealership. However I shouldn’t have worried. Peter Bull, in particular, and Peter Uniacke made the whole process straightforward and hassle free. I am delighted with my new Passat Estate. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Heritage of Dorchester VW.

Extremely bad heritage, don't visit this place. If you bought a car here company doesn't care about you. You'll have to pay for everything, is does not matter at all. You are struggling for 5 months? Well, who cares, you're just a bad driver, wait until your car completely broken and pay for that additional money. Even though you have a warranty
