Black Dog Pub
This pub is in the town of Newent, and is popular with local people, which is always a good sign.. There's a large car park and outdoor area and the atmosphere inside is friendly and lively. There's often free live music available so plenty of good reasons to call in!

The food is slop, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Mark sticks it in the microwave for 2 minutes and charges £10 more than it's worth.

Nice garden to sit in. Well priced.Beer was good as was wine and soda. Limited choice of real ale.

Nice place, car parking, good beer selection, sports if you want. We had the Sunday roast which was a good feed.

Only a flying visit but a roaring log fire and Butty Bach on draught is irresistible, the menu looks good and ingredients are locally sourced. I will be returning in the summer to enjoy the beer garden... Hopefully the wife will drive home.

Lovely to have the Take away back until we can visit on the 12th April. Enjoyed a tasty takeaway last night fantastic owners and team keep up the good work.
