I am so grateful for everything that Vets Now could do for me and my dog Teddy. They kept her safe overnight and really put me at ease with everything going on. Charlotte the vet was so amazing and friendly as was Gillian! I cant recommend them enough.

Very professional Vets. Prompt care and attention and very sensitive to the needs of my pug Bob.The care that was received was excellent, the Vet and nurse explained everything to us very clearly. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Putting us at easy while waiting to see the Vet.Thank you too everyone at Vets Now. Bob is on the road to recovery.

The staff appeared caring and compassionate. One thing I would change from a personal perspective was that on arriving at the surgery my guinea pig Carrie was taken to the treatment room (to go on some oxygen) and I wasn’t invited to be with her. Her review/examinations were all done away from me whilst I sat in a consultation room just waiting. After they were finished I was given care options (with cost estimates) and chose to take her home to hope for the best with antibiotics. I knew in my gut that this was palliative care. She died very shortly after. I feel you should be encouraged to stay with your pet throughout the whole process where practical.

An emergency came in the same time as us so I was naturally expecting a lengthy wait. However, we were seen within 30 minutes which was quite impressive. The vet explained things clearly and didn’t use any jargon or medical terms I wouldn’t understand. The downside to using Vets Now is they are very very expensive. It was almost £300 just to see the vet which is significantly higher than other out of hours services I’ve used. They also want payment in full even if you’re using insurance. They want you to pay and then you claim back from insurance and still charge a £25 fee because you’re using insurance, even though they already have their money!

We had to take our little Cairn Terrier Doug here on Tuesday night and sadly he had to be PTS. The vet and the nurse on duty that night could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. The vet was amazing with us and with Doug, giving him lots of strokes before asking us what we wanted to do. We knew though that it was his time. It was an awful time but made slightly better by the attitude and respect shown to us by Vets Now in Gateshead. Thank you.

I had to rush my dog to the vets at 4.30 am as she was having trouble whelping. This was my usual vets out of hours service, I had never used it before. She was seen straight away and the vet was absolutely excellent, I would have no hesitation of using this vets again.

we took our cat to the vets when she suddenly became ill. we made an emergency appointment and were seen as soon as we could come in despite the vets closing in 20 minutes when we rang. by the time we’d come in our cat had unfortunately passed away. the staff who broke the news to us and went through all our options with us couldn’t have been more caring and compassionate. they were incredibly patient, kind and made the unfortunate situation as pleasant as they possibly could have. they took the time to answer all of our questions and go through all our options thoroughly, gave us a lovely card with her paw prints inside, and also sent us a very thoughtful sympathy card with some flower seeds a few weeks later. 10/10 service couldn’t recommend them more

No issue with getting booked in or the treatment. But if you have to pay straight away with a £285 fee before treatment and a £25 admin for processing the insurance claim, you don't expect an email from your insurer saying the vet hasn't sent the claim form in after 5 days. Not all pet owners are rich and need the claim to be processed a lot quicker.

So expensive to get to see a vet . But when you treasure your pet we pay . Vets now was efficient but busy as you’d expect and longish wait for a vet ( glad we took the dogs bed) I’m pleased to say we were very pleased with the vet we saw and her experience and expertise was unquestionable . She gave us a diagnosis and direction which has helped our dog who was here for the second weekend in a row after a week of little improvement and he relapsed on Sunday .. and they do . We followed up her suggestion with our vet and Thanks to her we have at least bought a bit more time if at a price !!! 5 star service knocked a star off for heavy consultation fee . £275 before treatment plus vat !!
