Berties Ice Cream and Homemade Desserts

Went and had cheesy chips and some desserts with my son. The food was nice, although took a while to come out but it was worth the wait. The lady who was serving was polite. The desserts were nice too. She was very kind to my son who is very fussy.The only thing I would comment is that the gentleman who was running it, not sure if it was the owner or not, was very rude to another lady who was taking order and serving. He was very rude to her and talked down. He was also swearing in the kitchen. I understand they were short staffed on one of the hottest days but to treat staff like that is disgusting. So that's why it's a two star because of the way the staff were treated not because of the food. This was at the end of July 2022 roughly.

Amazing tasting ice cream that was generous in scoop size and a really good price. The owner was really friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be visiting again!

In the space of queuing for 5 minutes the male member of staff scratched his head then carried on making a baguette without washing his hands. He then used his dirty tshirt to fold the cheese he was using to put into the baguette! Zero hygiene standards, disgusting!

Haven’t had an ice cream dessert but have had their Panini, absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted and you can choose what you want in it. All cooked fresh, yes you have to wait a bit but who cares it’s worth the wait. The staff go above and beyond, always cheerful and helpful especially in these hot conditions.

Amazing experience here today. Not one, not two, but FOUR vegan ice cream choices myself and my son could both have (dairy and soya allergy). He had raspberry ripple with really delicious raspberry sauce, and I had chocolate. My husband enjoyed a fudge ice cream desert (not vegan) which he said was also delicious. Would recommend if you are vegan or can't have dairy, they were really confident and knowledgeable about the ingredients in their ice cream, and all of it was yum.

Berties has an amazing variety of ice cream and the hot snacks are just as nice. The price is very reasonable and the staff are polite and helpful.

This place is amazing. Love the mixture of ice cream with a doughnut, so tasty. Phil is very nice the owner. Nothing is to much. Well worth a visit.
