Love Waitrose very friendly staff BUT when are the friday staff at the cafe going to order Bacon Rolls? This is my treat & ad often as not there isn’t any!! also more manned checkoutd please when our age group are no motenyheter self service check outs I ask who are your most customers bet they are the over 65’s!!!!

Older lady with grey hair at the self checkouts kept talking to me as if I was thick and couldn't understand a word of English. Kept watching everything I did at the till and made me very uncomfortable and overwhelmed. I knew how to work the checkouts and how to pay for a bag.

Waitrose has finally got with the times and had more self scan tills that actually work in there. What’s more they have friendly partners in helping out. I have been served by Mary Jo and Sam this week. I have heard some people complaining about the tills not being manned and having to queue whilst they wait for someone but that is their choice to wait for a till. The new self serve tills are fast and reliable, with the occasional security scale ping. Put it this way if someone offered you a lift home in a Ferrari, would you carry on waiting at the bus stop?

Extremely rude staff member tried to make us exit self service area,by farexit,even though w were the only ones in whole area. NO reason to b so rude .We went out by kiosk,but she was furious.Absolutely no other shoppers in whole area,so we exited by kiosk/ Older woman with grey hair,who was breathing down our necks,as if we were trying to shoplift. Avoid!

Vegetables, fruits and other products lost in quality. Essential Butter doesn’t smell of butter, smelled of plant based spread.( didn’t mention it on ingredients label)Unpleasant toilets, needs refurbishment and maintenance.I’m dissatisfied.

A good spacious shop with a large range of quality goods. No queuing either. I would have given it five stars were it not let down by using an older, and inferior, version of the self-scan system in use in nearby Waitrose stores such as Portishead. The smallest inconvenience is having to scan your Waitrose card separately. The major inconvenience occurs in the event of one of those occasional re-scans. If you use their own scanner guns rather than your phone you have to put the whole trolleyload through a manual checkout, unpacking and repacking it. Not so at their stores like Portishead, who do it properly, so that only a sample re-scan by a member of staff directly from the trolley is needed. We ended up with dented cake packs and a struggle to keep the careful packing organisation we started with.
