Ernest Jones

I had ordered a ring set on the Ernest Jones website along with instructions to go to a local store and receive the secondary box for the band. I arrived at this local store and was met by a lovely lady who was very lovely and helpful. I informed her that I had purchased a ring on the Ernest Jones website and required another spare box. I was told that boxes are not sold nor are they provided by the lady. I attempted to explain the situation at which point the incredibly rude large man stood behind the desk (who I might add seemed grumpy from the moment i walked into the store) rudely stated no we dont do extra boxes. Firstly, i see no point in parroting what the lovely colleague was already trying to explain to me and secondly, the man started giving me a verbose monologue on the reason why people require another box namely that it is due to fraud or theft. I really did not like the implication he was making and attempted to explain that it was simply me following instructions. I was then informed only in store purchases had such a priviledge of acquiring a second box. I was then told in an incredibly aggravating manner to show proof to which i acquiesced and upon showing the electronic receipt, the lady led me over to the box section. The rude man then proceeded to speak in a harsh tone suggesting that was a completely different story however, at this point i’d had enough of him. I have no idea how this person has been chosen as he has no apparent people skills, does not know how to resolve a simple query without putting someone off or how to de-escalate a situation. I was left most dissatisfied and as someone who has often purchased from your store, i will most definitely be thinking twice. I have dealt with such tin-pot tyrants previously and find it incredibly offputting to even go into such a store again. Store visit date - 15/05/2022 @11.15am (the male individual in question was caucasian, rather large and had worn a blue suit).

Visited the Bolton store to try and exchange our wedding rings that we bought 3 years ago, and unfortunately have not been able to wear yet due to covid! Happily our wedding is now due in May but the rings have inevitably gone too small (covid lock down diets did us no favours) we were greeted by Paul who has been incredible, he is so helpful and friendly and made exchanging my wedding ring so effortless and easy for us. Thanks once again Paul, you are a credit to the store!

Went in looking for a silver ring with diamonds, the staff were knowledgeable, polite and helpful...couldn't fault them at all

I had to take my wedding ring back as a few of the stones had fallen out. They helped me very well to get it sent off to the manufacturer .So glad we took out the platinum care.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, with a great variety of watches and jewellery but the prices are a bit higher than similar sellers.

Bought my partner an engagement ring from the Bolton store, Paul was great from the get go and very helpful throughout the whole process. All the staff at this the store are very friendly and made the experience so easy. Would definitely recommend popping in and seeing how they could help.

I went to Ernest Jones in Bolton Market place to buy a watch for my partner.I had a lovely lady name Carly serve me and my partner in Jan 2023 and late Jan I had already done a review but heard the system all changed. So I’m doing it again so Carly knows we really enjoyed our time looking at watches.Thank you Carly for looking after us during our visit, she asked us to sit down and what pieces we are looking for, she explained everything we needed to know very informative, we chose not to go with insurance as we never needed it, Carly mentioned if we change our minds and she will be there to help us. Carly made us feel very welcomed, we walked away with a Boss watch which I gave to my partner on his Birthday Feb 3rd and he can’t stop wearing it.
