The Maydays
I saw Happy Never After, their improvised Gothic musical, and I've trained in musical improv with them. They are superb. Top of their game, and the only act I saw in a three day improv festival to get an ovation.

Lovely studio space in central Brighton. Thirty seconds from the sea and lots of good coffee and food spots nearby. 10-15 min walk from the station.(PS I am a Mayday)

The Maydays are so warm and friendly to everyone. They teach improvisation to a high standard and their studio space is the perfect place to learn. It's also available for hire and at great rates so if you're interested drop them a line. They're the best.

Have recently done a musical improv course and it is the most fun I have had. Heather and Joe (the Maydays) were brilliant and made everything go with a pop, a fizzle and a ha ha ha. The other people on the course were also lovely. In fact every second of it was amazingwonderfulsuperdooper. I will and have recommend it to everyone I meet.

The Maydays are a fab bunch of excellent improv teachers and performers. Their courses are wonderful for building confidence and skills with improvising, whatever your level. They take things slowly and get you doing things you would never have imagined. Plus their lovely new studio is comfortable and central.

The Maydays
Brighton's Maydays have created a welcoming community of local improvisers (and troupes) who go to the shows, classes and drop-ins, and have fun, learn improvisation skills and support each other. The Maydays themselves are excellent improvisers and trainers. Their shows are open-hearted and hilarious, while their training is astute and well-informed. Their Studio in Regency Square Brighton is bright, warm, well-equipped and large enough for about 18 people to work together. I've been attending Maydays drop-ins and classes since about 2007, and now even run the odd drop-in myself: the Maydays have improved the quality of my life.

The Maydays are some of the best teachers and performers of improv that I gave ever come across and above this they are all just genuniely lovely people. I highly recommend both their shows and imptov drop ins/courses/intensives :)
