If you want a natural looking small lake to fish on that holds some of the East Uk's best Tench and cruisian carp fishing then this is the place for you! In the sunny Norfolk countryside it sure is worth a trip where ever your from you will not regret it

Ok, maybe unusual to rate a venue having never been there and I've never reviewed anything before but I just have to say, when looking to start fishing again after a long break I searched for a local water and found Rocklands. I enquired via email about the course lake and had many questions (apologies Katie) and I have to say the communication and helpfulness has been second to none, and that, in my book goes a long way and what my review is based on. Now booked and looking forward to my first session.

A lovely little fishery out in the Norfolk countryside. Being totally honest there was a lack of swims due to far end being overrun with lily's/weed which in my opinion could do with a bit of clearing but in terms of the fishing it was such a refreshing change to fish a venue that's not a 'hole in the ground stock pond'. My son caught his first ever decent sized tench at over 4lb along with 6 other other small ones plus some lovely small crucians and I managed a roach of 1lb 7oz and a few decent tench to 5lb. Somewhere a little bit different from what has become the norm!! I just need to try the trout side of things as well now.Update : Now visited this fishery a fair few times and it's our favourite local fishery. Always catch a specimen tench or two and some lovely crucians to be had also and all in PRISTINE condition. As stated it's weedy in places but it does apparently get raked out but is fast growing so comes back quickly - still it's nice to have features to fish to. Added bonus is it's max of 6 people a day and have never seen that many there so often really peaceful.

It was very hot and fish were not very big or as many as I had hoped.

Don’t expect this fishery to be like other commercials you have visited. It is not. This is a good thing by the way. Fished the Mere twice in June 2019. The species caught were roach, perch, tench, and crucian carp. There are no king carp or hybrid carp at this venue. All the fish caught were in absolute perfect condition, which is rarely the case at many heavily fished commercials these days. The odd fish caught was of specimen size, but do not expect these fish to be easy to catch. Definitely a float fishers paradise. There is some joy in the challenge of trying to catch a 2lb crucian in the lily pads. Worth a visit if you want to spend time away from the crowds in idyllic surroundings. There is also a trout lake on site for those of that persuasion.

Was a bit disappointed about this place. Difficult to get in with a tackle barrow, gate, narrow wooden bridge, a few steps followed by another gate - even more difficult to get out unless you go in reverse. The Mere" itself was around half the size I expected and half was unfishable due to the Lillies.Managed to catch a couple of small Tench but no sign of the Crucians and got " smashed" 3 times trying to stop 3 bigger tench getting into the Lillies which are never far away."

Great traditional pond. Fishing was a little slow but its early season. Managed a lovely hard fighting tench though

Went for an hours casting tuition from James. It was my first time ever fly casting and with the one to one lesson I felt I was actually beginning to get the hang of it.Afterwards I spent a few hours fishing and practising casting. Managed to catch and release 3 rainbow trout, though missed several bites.Had a great time and am keen to visit again in the near future - though its a good hours drive from home.
