Really knowledgeable and patient bunch of folks at this place, as a relative novice I find that really helpful.

Not only did they mess up my order the attitude of one of the female staff members was pretty average.Cancelled the order and asked for a refund.Went to B and Q and bought the same items only cheaper.

Great range of stock. Fast turnaround if need to order it in. Price match against competitors. Knowledgeable, helpful staff. T'was a pleasure.

Very friendly, educated service. Even though its a small outlet it contains thousands of items for pick up,or next day delivery.It must be the most cheerful of any retail outlet in this small town, that makes a huge difference to shopping here.Special thanks to Ryan for going the extra mile trying to find what I needed in the store.I not a local customer but would be happy to shop again if Im in the area.

Purchased a Ride on lawn mower at a cost of over £1600When the mower arrived it had a few faultsI could not get neutral and the blade lift kept jammingAfter making contact the mower was taken away for repair which returned a week later.I had gears but the mower lift still jammedI made contact with Screwfix who promised to have it removed and a full refund made to my account.Since the promise to have the mower removed I have made over 10 phone calls still trying to get it back to screwfixToday some twenty days later it was collected and thanks to Ryan in Screwfix call centre I have a full refund.I then got a call from a friend who uses Screwfix a lot to tell me to look on the online shopping pagesThat same mower a McCulloch 344cc ride on mower has gone down over £500 since I purchased my mower a few weeks agoHow can a purchase go down almost a thirdI am so glad that the machine did not work because I would be very angry having paid the full amountI must say this is such a poor poor service and thank goodness for Ryan in the call centre or I would still be chasing to get it removed

Just moved to Cumbria, where do you go after a few walks and few visits pubs?...Screwfix of course because there are things that need fixing. Public and trade counters are next to each other separated by an always open door. Service is, as usual in any Screwfix, rapid and knowledgeable. Stock levels can be checked on line so don't get peevish if what you want is out of stock. If you don't like friendly, chatty staff shop on line otherwise go into the Penrith branch and enjoy a shopping experience.
