The Old House
What a cracker of a find! And we’ll worth loosing a few hours to, this place has so much character lovely and cosy and even a super little snug with a fire for a cheeky date night or a get together with friends you can even share a sharing board or a bottle of vino, if your not up for the extensive lunch or dinner menu. Talking of the menu’s, Jeeeez the food and the combination of flavour that have been created in the kitchen are dam good and definitely tickled my taste buds, making me want to come back for more! And I have!!!To the manager. The Team are worth their weight in gold, friendly polite and have time for you, and nothing is to much trouble, they are passionate about the food and the overall experience they are delivering, a credit to you!

We stayed as a family the night prior to a wedding. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we had a great time staying.The staff were excellent, really friendly and attentive and the service was great. We had dinner together in a private room and the food was absolutely top class, as was the service. We also had breakfast the following morning and again absolutely superb quality.

We had a celebration lunch in the restaurant and found the service and the food superb.The food was delicious and plentiful and Lyn, who served us, was very friendly and helpful.Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

I stayed here with a colleague for one night for work. Such a pleasant change from anonymous chains and tired 2* hotels trading on former glories. A spacious bedroom and attached wet room, a very comfy bed and a cafetiere with PROPER COFFEE in the room! Service from the young team in the restaurant was excellent, as was the cooked breakfast next morning. Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely atmosphere, great food and service. Definitely worth a visit and we’ll be back again. We didn’t stay at the hotel, just had a meal in the restaurant.

Very pleased with our pre-wedding night choice of venue. The meal in the Restaurant was first class. The rooms were smashing and had everything we needed. What really stood out was that the Manager and his staff couldn't do enough for us. Very accommodating indeed. Thanks guys.

Live close by so haven’t stayed but rooms look lovely and perfect stay if on the way to Gatwick. Fab inside and out with lots of character. Service can sometimes be a little slow but very helpful staff. Flight path can be an issue but that’s typical of this area. Being dog friendly is an added bonus. Had pizza when attending the outside cinema which was delicious. Well worth a visit.

We went kast night as a last minute call. Glad we did it was excellent , good food , great staff and always a lovely ambience. We have known the restaurant for years but sometimes you just get out of the habit or visiting, we will be back again and more often. Lovely outdoor area and bar.We have not used the rooms but its a great location and good parking .

4 of us visited the pub to celebrate a family birthday on a Friday night. Good food and excellent service. However, when the pub was full around 8pm it was very loud and we had to move table out of the main restaurant into the snug (which was quite cold) to be able to hear each other talk. Staff were very accommodating of the move though.4 people, a drink on arrival then 3 courses plus a bottle of wine came to £200. I would like to have had more choice of unique dishes on the main courses rather than a few interesting choices and then pub classics.
