I approached James at the end of October 2021 when I was at rock bottom and thought I needed a drastic approach if I was to ever get out of the rut and spiral of self-distraction I had been for the last 5 years. 2 kids, a subsequent back injury, lockdowns, house move, and a change from a full time professional to a stay at home mum had seen me pile on 2 stone and completely lose my energy and motivation for most things, especially looking after myself. I was suffering from complete energy crashes where I struggled to do anything except crawl into bed.I had hoped that the accountability working with James offered would see me finally stick to a diet of some sort and was fully expecting a limiting food plan that I would have to grin and bear in order to achieve some weight loss.What James has offered has been completely and utterly different to what I expected. There has been no drastic approach, no food plan to stick to, no foods I don’t enjoy. Instead James has worked with me to understand my life, my challenges and identified how my daily routine, hormonal changes and fluctuations, kids school holidays etc etc have formed certain eating habits that, instead of fuelling my body, have contributed to cycles of forever feeling unsatisfied, and debilitating energy crashes.With James I have switched up how I eat, when I eat, how I assess the choices I make and when I feel full, making weekly changes or focus areas when needed depending on what is going on in my life. He’s basically taught me how to feed myself in a way I enjoy and that my body thrives off. The weight has fallen away and I’m still enjoying dinner dates, take aways etc. The biggest change though has been my energy levels… no 3pm crashes, now feeling happy to run around with the kids, take them swimming (which I hadn’t done in about 4.5 years) and enjoy their energy.I honestly couldn’t recommend James more.
