Loved everything about our stay here, it a real gem. Lovely character, decor, food and staff were so friendly. Rooms were cosy too, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thoroughly recommend.

Historic building. Staff try hard to accommodate small children which is appreciated. Have eaten here several times and unfortunately the Sunday roast is a write-off and at £17 not exactly cheap. The roast beef was inedible - hard, thick tough cut of what appeared to be flank meat that couldn’t even be cut with a knife; two quarter pieces of roast potato, a single teaspoon of cauliflower cheese (so small I thought it was horseradish until I tried it). The lamb wasn’t available until 2pm (no reason given). I can only guess that they were unexpectedly short of a chef, and had to hire someone who had no idea what they were doing.

How many pubs have a history dating back to the tenth century? Lovely building full of character. Stopped for a drink and meal, wonderful service and great food.

Found an old original pub in Colnbrook when delayed international travel from Heathrow. This was within easy walking distance from airport hotel. Staff very friendly. Traditional breakfasts and lunches were of good proportions and well priced. We were pleasantly surprised when one of the lunches was delayed the chef said it was ‘ on the house’. We were astonished by this exceedingly generous gesture but we decided to pay full price with a generous tip.Best of luck to this good old English Pub.

What can I say? Third oldest inn and drinking beers from the oldest brewery?! What a great experience from a historical viewpoint and as a beer lover. The rooms have been modernized nicely and the inn still managed to retain its character.

Kind helpful staff, flexible with our unexpected late check in, beautiful old building, great ambience, comfortable rooms, quiet and dark. The pub and beer garden behind are also very attractive. Convenient for Heathrow. Ample parking. A number of ground floor rooms. Thank you, Sarah and Maya, for a warm welcome and a lovely stay. We will be back.

Had a wonderful trip down memory lane by staying in Colnbrook. The Ostrich Hotel was stunning, steeped in history and I am looking forward to our next trip there very soon.Staff were amazing, particularly Cherry and Neva. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.Thank you all so much for a fabulous stay.

This is a good old pub (est. 1106 ad) where great food is served, the seats are cozy and the staff is friendly. Free parking around the back is a bonus. Recommended!

A varied experience! The person who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating but the person the next morning wasn’t very interested in answering any questions regarding breakfast etc and actually put us off dining there. Room was nice at first glance but could do with different bulbs in the bedside lamps - they were very white which isn’t great for creating a nice atmosphere. The main issue is that the mattresses need an upgrade - VERY springy, not at all what you expect for £100 a night. Pillows also pretty lumpy. Fine if you’re not sensitive to these things! The history of the place is very present and made for a fun experience, but overall wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

Had lunch here today and really really enjoyed it. Great Sunday roast with amazing array of vegetables. Lovely old buildings, helpful staff, nice coffee. Good value, given that everything is expensive now! Will absolutely meet for lunch again here.
