I visited this place as a prospective member but felt very uncomfortable. I was given a tour of the main room, laser cutter, workshop in the back and kitchenette. The consistent mess on every available surface is not explained and I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask. I naturally have a lot of questions but the conversation turned to me feeling like I was convincing the person why I want to be a member / why I deserve to be a member? It did not feel right at all to be spoken to like I was. The best part was leaving and breathing fresh air for the first time.

The Leeds Hackspace is a well equipped location with friendly members. Regular open events (see the website for details) are an excellent way to come and see the facilities, meet members and join up.

Leeds Hackspace
I have been a member on add of since 2012. This is the best place to meet people who are into making things and such a nice and welcoming bunch of people. Almost all workshop tools are available. 3d printers, laser cutter, lathe and cnc milling etc. Have a look on their website and drop in on an public open night Tuesday.

Great place for making, crafting and hacking on projects. Leeds Hackspace has a wide variety of tools and equipment that members can use, and is a great place to learn new skills. In my experience members are usually friendly and happy to help if you get stuck on your project.
