Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Exeter

Absolutely love my new varifocal glasses! Would recommend to anyone to go to Specsavers in Exeter. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very thorough examination and the whole process was very good. Thank you!

Visited September 2023 for sight and contact lens check. The whole team were lovely. This is a busy store but with a human touch and kindness that is very much appreciated.

Awful store, lack of organisation and communication leading to a 6 month delay being referred to Ophthalmology.I went in for an eye test because my sight was deteriorating, causing to me feel disoriented, the appointment felt rushed, and the optician didn't seem to care about my concerns.I was referred on, but hadn't heard anything from the NHS. After three months I started chasing, the team were rude and told me to wait. Long story short, after six months they told me to ring the referrals team.My referral had been sent back to them straightaway because it wasn't on letter headed paper. They didn't bother to respond, so my referral went no where. Had I not chased this I would still be none the wiser, and I'm further down the list due to their incompetence.A manager said she would give me another eye test and go over my options, this appointment went great and I felt that they were trying their best to sort this out. Another appointment was made, she got a collegue to ring up 20 minutes before to say she was ill and couldnt do the appointment.I said I wasn't happy with the late notice and the manager came on the phone and said she wasn't that ill and could stay for another 90 minutes!I have no faith in them at all now.

My wife lives with Alzheimer's and communication is difficult for her. At the appointment my wife was treat with kindness, compassion, patience and exemplary service. My wife's eye health was more important to the optician than selling new glasses.It became clear early in the appointment that there would be no sale in relation to new glasses but my wife still received a full and thorough eye health examination with the optician using alternative ways to complete the examination without causing any distress to my wife.Superb service with professionalism, compassion, care, and kindness. Thank you.

Would definitely recommend this store. Following an initial problem with my prescription, the staff retested the new glasses and gave me a second vision test. They explained each step well and resolved the problem so I now have glasses which really enhance my vision. Thank you for such an attentive and professional service.

The Service i received from Specsavers was second to none.There were amazing from start to finish.They explained everything about the tests that I was having done and went through the results when completed.They have great deals too as I had 2 for 1 so totally happy with Specsavers.The Customer service and the professionalism of the team was outstanding.Highly Recommend..

Yes staff were caring and we had a laugh trying on new glasses, 2 for 1 on frames over £69 so that helped with the costExcellent thanks

Every member of staff I dealt with was so helpful and friendly. I also had a toddler in tow and they were really accommodating. Great service!

Specsavers really seem to have got their act together in recent years, pressure selling seems to have gone. well-staffed store and prompt, friendly service throughout my visits.£188 for a pair of better than basic variofocals, thinned, and care taken with measuring and then fitting.
