This Japanese restaurant truly captures the essence of Japan. The authenticity of the food, the ambiance, and the attention to detail make dining here a genuine cultural experience. I feel like I've been transported to Japan! I’ve tried Unagi don and miso soup this time. Both are excellent and definitely will come back and try the others.

We came here after a few beers in Lancaster. After visiting Japan for our honeymoon in September we were very impressed with the quality of the dishes. The takoyaki was extremely good and brought back memories of Osaka ❤️ we can't wait to come back here!

The food here is honestly amazing. It’s in a really nice, out of the way location, while still being central, and the atmosphere inside is great. The staff are all very polite and the prices are very fair. I’m so happy a place like this opened in Lancaster and I would recommend it to anyone.

This gyoza is an age gyoza (deep fried), not yaki gyoza. I prefer the yaki one, but this age gyoza is so great. It’s hard to find a good age gyoza. However, I’m quite disappointed to the premium sashimi don, rice is almost tasteless, the raw fish are just ok, not the high-quality ones. However, Matcha Basque Cheesecake is great! Still not perfect I guess, but I enjoyed eating it.Gyoza: £4.5Premium Sashimi Don: £15.5Matcha Basque Cheesecake: £3.5Date: 31 October 2023Returning? MaybeTry it? I was so excited to try this place when I saw it was opening! Went in for the first time today and it was all fantastic! I walked through the door and was met with a big smile and welcome from the staff and the chef, instantly made me feel welcomed and comfortable! The interior had a nice modern style that made it nice to sit on and not just get takeaway. Now let me tell you about the food! It was amazing!!! I got the nigiri platter (and maybe some gyoza because why not) and i was so happy with it! It came with a set of Ebi Furai rolls, wakama, pickled radish and an amazing selection of Nigiri, you got the classic fresh salmon and tuna, cuttlefish and eel as well and then most shockingly to find you got some clam as well as Scallops!! All for £13!! It all tasted so fresh and well made, the rice was soft but pressed well. You could really tell the chef enjoyed what he did because he looked to be enjoying himself while making everything. Overall I couldn't recommend this place any more and will definitely be going back (most likely a couple times a week!)

We were the first customers! What a wonderful, delightful wee place. My partner and I love sushi and all things Japanese food - so we went here with big expectations! We were not disappointed.A very cosy, very cute, wonderfully authentic place tucked away in Lancaster - a hidden gem.The food was 10/10 - so fresh and so delicious. The side dishes were so delicious and very generous, we were basically full before the main meal! Very happy. The serving staff and the chefs were all amazingly kind and courteous. They made sure we were happy at each step and carefully walked us through each dish. All over, an amazing lunch. Thank you so much. I cant wait to return!Love, a usually fussy eater. xx

It’s my second time getting take out from this new Japanese sushi restaurant in Lancaster. I can say this is the best and freshest sushi I have ever had in the UK. I love the scallop and Unagi so so so much. The Takoyaki is exactly the same as what I had in Japan. Will definitely come again.

When I first time came to try this Japanese restaurant, the Tamago sushi was lacked of egg flavour. However, when I tried this restaurant for the second time today, I found that the owner had made some changes, the Mentaiko Tamagoyaki tastes exactly like what you can eat in Japan, and the set C it is also a very authentic Japanese flavour.——————Here are the comments from my first try.Matcha latte taste very very bland, with almost no matcha flavour. Tamago sushi also lacked of egg flavour. Unagi was so soft and glutinous that it only becomes delicious thanks to the teriyaki sauce. However, the matcha basque cheesecake is so delicious that it’s worth visiting this restaurant again and again. Overall, the meals at this restaurant were not exactly authentic Japanese food.

I had heard of this new place and decided to visit on a whim. The restaurant/take-away itself has a lovely, authentic and Japanese feel, which is super refreshing. The servers are super lovely and helpful and most importantly the food was fresh. I tried the ebi tempura, which was an absolute delight, crispy and not too oily. I also got the Karage chicken, which had a light ginger flavour. The sushi I ordered tasted fresh and the rice was soft. A must try.
