From start to finish we received a very attentive and bespoke service. The final product was perfect. We felt part of the process as they explained how it would be made. The kilt is beautiful and handmade, with tartan straight from the mills.Mathilde and Jonathan are the best kilt makers! You get to choose pleating style, tartan, and much more. They gave us advice and accompanied us every step of the way. We love supporting local makers and couldn’t be happier with the results.Even now, we can come to them with all of our kilt and tartan questions.We would highly recommend you use Mathilde and Jonathan to make your kilt.

The best place to go if you're looking for an handcrafted kilt !Je n'aurais pu rêver d'une meilleure expérience pour mon premier kilt. J'ai choisis le superbe tartan Auld Alliance, et Mathilde et Jonathan m'ont guidés tout au long de mes choix pour la confection de ce kilt et pour le choix des accessoires. Le rendu est incroyable, au delà de toutes mes espérances. En plus de leur incroyable savoir-faire et professionnalisme, Mathilde et Jonathan sont 2 personnes adorables dont la rencontre vaut le détour !Encore merci à eux pour cette fabuleuse aventure.Et si jamais je souhaite une évolution sur mon kilt, ou pourquoi pas un deuxième, j'irais à nouveau frapper à la porte de Auld Alliance Kiltmakers sans aucune hésitation !

From start to finish, Mathilde and Jo guided me through the decisions required to choose my ideal kilt. I was able to get answers to any questions I had and was glad to get an understanding of the kilt making process and industry.The kilt is of an excellent standard and it's a precious possession that I can keep using for years to come.Would recommend to anyone even thinking about getting a kilt!

Such a great experience!The whole process, from reaching out to wearing my kilt for the first time, including the fittings / choosing of tartans, all that was perfectly managed.This team of experts are really friendly, knowledgeable and provide a superb service.They listened to my crazy ideas then offered options on how best to tackle the project and we were able to build a unique piece of clothing which I will proudly wear for many many many years to come.If anything get in touch with them to listen to their passion, it truly makes a huge difference when people love what they do.

I am feeling very fortunate that Mathilde, from Auld Alliance Kiltmakers, had some time in her busy schedule to design and handmake my very first kilt. She walked me through all the steps, helped me pick a tartan - lovely Leaping Salmon, it makes me smile each time I wear it! - and took very precise mesurements to make sure my kilt would be like a second skin to me. It was very emotional to see such a garment come to life and I am very proud to have one of their work in my wardrobe. Communication was spot on, and Mathilde explained very clearly all the steps needed to make the perfect kilt... all by hand! Thank you so much, Mathilde and Jonathan!

It's been such a joy talking with them about my project and kiltmaking in general.Jonathan was able to incorporate small details into my kilt to honour my family's heritage, making it not only unique but very special.For bespoke kilts, I would whole-heartedly recommend Auld Alliance Kiltmakers!

Mathilde and Jonathon made a kilt for me. I was involved in the whole process of design. Choosing the tartan, pleating style, and so much more. They were both very helpful and responded to any emails and questions that I had. We were lucky enough to visit them in Edinburgh to collect the finished kilt. My wife had two sashes made in the same tartan. The outfits looked fabulous.

Mathilde a réalisé mon kilt et ça a été une très belle expérience. Avec son accompagnement et celui de Jonathan pour les choix esthétiques j'ai pu décider d'un kilt qui me convient parfaitement.Leur savoir-faire m'a permis de m'approprier le tartan et de personnaliser le motif sur les plis, ce qui le rend plus unique encore.J'ai été impressionné par la qualité du vêtement et le soin apporté à tous les détails. En plus d'être idéal pour moi ce kilt est chargé d'une histoire.
