I would definitely recommend Tom Brady and his team without hesitation.We hired Tom to convert our Victorian terraced house’s attic into a bedroom with en suite bathroom and dressing room having seen some of his workmanship elsewhere.Dealing with Tom was very easy from the outset and he gave a very competitive quote. What we didn’t realise at this point was just how committed Tom is to delivering, on time and on budget, a stunning end product. We are delighted with our now space and how Cramond Renovations have been able to tie in the new area with the existing features of the house. They have always gone the extra mile to work around our diaries and to finish the work to the highest standard.Tom clearly takes a lot of pride in his craftsmanship, and he and his team are skilled craftsmen. He has dealt with problems swiftly and professionally and his communication has been excellent when difficult decisions have had to be made.In summary I would have absolutely no reservation about recommending Tom Brady and the Cramond Renovations team to our friends and neighbours and we will be aiming to use him again for any future projects.

After receiving our planning permission in January 2020, we continued with the usual recommendation of requesting 3 quotes for the extension of the first floor into existing roof space, including removing two velux windows in the kitchen area and creating a new ceiling with lighting. Just as quotes started to arrive, lockdown arrived.We are so pleased we chose Cramond Renovations, for various reasons. The planning schedule was continually disrupted as Covid regulations changed, warehouse supplies for materials were affected, and the risk of staff requiring isolation crept in. Tom and his team were always upbeat. Not once did I not know what was going on, what work was due to be done each day, and which team member would be arriving at the house and when. Tom managed every minute detail of the project, keeping me up to date, and never did a piece of work get done without Tom consulting with us first. Seeing Tom and the team working together, whatever the weather, going above and beyond the norm, was so impressive, as was the final result of the work.We are now reviewing another piece of renovation and so hope that Cramond can fit us in sometime soon!I hope this review helps anyone looking for tradesmen. We found Tom through a personal recommendation, and I would advise anyone looking for a building / plumber / electrician to always go with recommendations rather than adverts.Tanya

Tom and his team have been a real pleasure to work with over the last 3 months. They have transformed the downstairs of our dated Victorian terraced house from a dark and dysfunctional space to a beautiful and fully functional open plan kitchen/ utility/ living area full of light and character that has become the much-needed heart of our busy family home.The project has been challenging at practically every turn but Tom’s relentless enthusiasm and optimism have ensured that we have really been able to maximise every opportunity to improve the space. The team have shown real creativity and flair in their suggestions, including reusing original materials where possible to ensure the finished product is sympathetic with the rest of the house.Tom also sourced suppliers, liaised with all contractors and provided regular updates on progress. Communication has been excellent and Tom has always been on hand for any queries.Meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship have characterised the work, and they have always been very respectful of our home, tidying up after themselves and working around our schedules to minimise disruption, as well as being patient with interruptions from the younger members of the household! Tom has a real sense of style and finish that has elevated the project from something which really is a cut above any other kitchen I’ve seen. I love my new kitchen/dining space and can honestly say the final result is even better than I could have hoped for.I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tom and his team for any project, and he will certainly be my first port of call for any future work on our home.

The previous 20 reviewers are (of course) not wrong! You could not wish for better. After 15 years, we finally did a roofline extension to our bungalow, to create an upstairs and a much-enlarged kitchen dining room. Cramond looked after everything, from some large steelwork and roof trusses right down to the detailing. Reliability - Tom and team were on site every day - no disappearing contractor syndrome. Quality - we have just been bowled over, repeatedly, at the quality in the detailing of the work - we struggled to even start a snagging list. Value and value-add - you get what you pay for, and where we were over-budget, it was our (client) decisions that took us there. Along the way, Tom and his team were able to offer some super-helpful advice on some detailing, based upon their vast experience. Professionalism - Tom and the team have been a delight to work with. We genuinely miss them! Our elderly neighbour was also very sad to see them go! Also under professionalism - Tom and co. took their responsibilities under covid restrictions very seriously and impressively. Of course, our project slipped a little, but was done safely. Overall - seven stars ******* We have a gorgeous house, and got there more or less on time and budget, and with the journey being a joy and almost stress free.

Tom took on our Victorian house renovation in South Edinburgh in early 2021. The original scope was to replace the central heating & electrics as well as to fit bathrooms and a kitchen. Tom co-ordinated electricians, plumbers, joiners and other tradesmen to do this.As with many period properties, a number of unforeseen issues emerged, notably the roof. Tom recommended a good roofer and took on additional work to rebuild and re-strengthen a wooden bay window and other dormer windows. This was no simple task and it might have deterred others. Tom’s team worked hard to rectify other faults in the house, including defective plasterwork & replacing floor joists.I would recommend Cramond Renovations not only for their high-quality work but also for their advice about other suppliers, materials and design. Along the way they have also taken on additional requests from us, for example switching doors around and fitting an Edinburgh press. This work has been done to the highest standard and in keeping with the Victorian period fixtures.I am very grateful for all of the team’s work and I would recommend Cramond Renovations to anyone with a large project to undertake.

Cramond Renovations are brilliant. Tom, Jackson, Dave and Tony are absolute gents of the trade and clearly know their stuff. This was our first big renovations project and like most newbies we were really nervous about who to go with and getting started. From the first visit, to agreeing the scope of works, we haven't looked back and it has been a really positive experience. The thing that probably stood out to us the most when doing our review of the initial site visits and quotes was the time that Tom (the gaffer) spent discussing ideas and the eye for detail that he had. Right the way through the process the team offered up different options and solutions to things as they cropped up. Now at the end of our project we couldn't be happier with the finish, the team have turned a shell of a house in to a home for life. Great people and a credit to their trade. Tom has project managed our renovation professionally and with good communication throughout. He has coordinated every aspect for us, and even when unforeseen issues have been identified, they were dealt with and resolved before completing the project to a high standard.
