Better Hearing Clinic

Just attended the clinic in Cockermouth met Bernard, excellent service and explanation. Would have needed to wait until end November at Carlisle. Gillian arranged the appointment and all was sorted very efficiently. Well done. Clinic required in Carlisle.

Hearing lost on Sunday morning after using drops for a week for wax build up, Monday morning phoned for an appointment and got a cancellation the same afternoon and it was pure relief to hear normally again. Great service and money well spent. Thank you.

Having severe hearing loss in both ears due to Menieres Disease the NHS consultant told me their hearing aids were the best for me. I became very distressed at thinking this was going to affect the rest of my life and was at a total loss. A friend recommended Better Hearing. I went to see Bernard. Following a hearing test Bernard put in hearing aids and for the first time in years I could hear things I had not heard for a long time. I was very emotional. Bernard very kindly let me keep the Clinic's hearing aids until mine came. The quality of my life has changed immensely. I can now stream my phone and the sound from the TV directly into my hearing aids. I also have a microphone that can be pinned onto someone so I can hear them talking to me in a noisy place. I cannot imagine life without them. So thank you very much Bernard.

Took my mother in law for hearing aids to be checked following fitting. All the staff were very professional with Bernard exceptionally patient and thoughtful. The service was both friendly and efficient.

Absolutely delighted with the service provided. A vast amount of useful and relevant information imparted at the session. Bernard was very reassuring and competent. I will definitely pass on the news of my experience and encourage anyone else with hearing problems, however slight, to pay a visit and I am sure benefits will result. Excellent.

Thought I had wax in my ears as my hearing had changed, especially when using ear pods. Turned out I had no wax at all.Since making the appointment I have had a virus but this hasn’t affected my hearing - the condition was pre-existing. The man I saw jumped to the conclusion that it was the cold causing the problem. He told me they recommend rescheduling appointments if you have a cold.When I tried to explain that I made the appointment before my cold he wasn’t interested. Instead he talked more about colds. He didn’t ask about my hearing generally or how long the problem had been going on for. I tried to tell him about using ear pods but he wasn’t interested in that either.So that was £20 for about 5 minutes. Kerching! Nice work if you can get it.

If I could give 10 stars to Bernard and Gillian I would. They are professional, friendly, and caring. As a retired nurse I was extremely impressed with the entire procedure (wax removal -yuk!) from the appropriate history taking, showing me the ‘before’ picture of the inside of my ears, the actual procedure (which was completely painless) through to the ‘after’ pictures which showed sparkly clean ears! I left the clinic feeling fantastic and armed with a wealth of advice on future ear-care. Thank you both very much indeed.

I needed my hearing checked so went to see Bernard Paice and his staff and found i needed a hearing aid, after a couple of appointments they got me sorted out and my hearing has improved a lot. You dont realise what you couldnt hear until you hear it again.Very professional. Many thanks.
