I LIVE NEXT DOOR TO ONE OF THERE TENNANTS HAD FOUR YEARS OF TROUBLE THEY WILL DO NOTHING ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY NOT PEOPLE.

As a house owner and landlord I have used Browns for a good few years to manage my properties in Scunthorpe and Winterton. I have found them to be 100% reliable. Having had some bad experiences with tenants and other local property agents, I was glad to find a service that cared for my property just I would. looked forward to moving into a house in Redbourne,absolutely loved the place.Made an application for me and my wife,took bank statements,pension statements etc down to them.On applying for the property I had told Brown & co I had an old CCJ from nearly 6 years ago,was told it was better to tell them other than homelet finding out,but they said it wasn’t a problem anyway.They contacted my current landlord for a reference and my accountant,which was all good.Homelet told us they had finished referencing us and that we were to contact the agent,so we did only to be told that we had been bounced because of the CCJ,s,which we were already told it wouldn’t be a problem.I asked the agent why have we been bounced and she blatantly said because we have bad credit.I don’t owe anybody anything and the CCJ was paid anyway,so no we don’t have bad credit which is a defamation of my character.I felt I was dealt with like a phleb.Black horse financial services have no problem lending me £200-000 in cars,or Barclay card giving me a £20-000 credit limit.Brown & co need to look at their reviews,we gave you the benefit of the doubt but it turned out the reviews were right.

Since first arriving in the UK 3 years ago I have had the most appalling experiences with rental agencies (both of them are well know household brands). My experience with Brown & Co however has been totally different. The ladies in the Brigg office (Jacqui and Rosie) are a pleasure to deal with. Professional, responsive and extremely helpful and empathetic - moving in the middle of a lockdown is already very stressful. Thank you to you both - you made the experience a lot less stressful than it could have been. If you are needing a rental agent that is professional, and goes out of their way to make sure everything goes smoothly - this is the agency for you!!! Shockingly bad letting agency,good enough to take you on contractually but then the good times stop right there dead in its tracks,browns never fulfilled in 5.5 years any part of their obligations to me,they were more interested in their public image and sickofantic behaviour to the home owner i was letting from,than their bare bones promises for swift and steadfast resolutions to any thing that was problematic within their contractual rights,time after time making me jump through hoops to facilitate themselves,the arrogance only surpassed by their laziness and ineptitude,most definitely the faulty towers of the letting agency world,,,it's says a lot when contractors tell you they no longer wish to work for Brown's...suffice to say like thee old adage implies.//..you pays ya monies ya takes ya risks..//...enough said he'd a warning....
