Grandma's Puppet Shop

My 6 yr old grandson dragged us to this shop and he picked a puppet up and there was no way he was leaving the shop without it. It cos £60 but it is brilliantly made and worth every penny. The shop assistant was really good with him, trying to get him to look at the smaller puppets but he was having none of it. Hes saving his Penny's for when we visit again

Amazing little shop, a true treasure trove of toys, lovely staff, if you have kids you need to visit.

Lovely toys at reasonable prices. Staff also lovely and helpful. Glad to see independent shops like this still exist. Will definitely be shopping there again.

great shop, bought grandaughter a puppet from there, different sizes, colours and prices, will be calling again, great toys for kids with great imagination/ or let them have imagination from these puppets, ☺

Saw this shop as we were looking around Kendal. I was truly amazed!! Lots of beautiful wooden toys, some that I hadn’t seen before. But what really got my attention was the puppets. They were beautiful. Just for a moment or two I felt like I was slipping back to my childhood. I was so excited. Adorable bears with beautiful faces & happy expressions, puppets such as Mr. Punch, amongst others all beautifully crafted. & a wide selection of of ‘old’ ‘toys that have been re-introduced to today’s children. I must have spent almost an hour in this shop before leaving with a Charlie Bear puppet........ it was a very difficult decision!!I will definitely call again. The shop was amazing & the owners were lovely. They led me to believe that they are moving their business to Morcombe in the not too distant future & have some great ideas for their new shop. I’ll be taking the time to go & have a look around, not only to see all the beautiful toys but to meet with the lovely couple that own it again.Thank you for making us feel so welcome, today.

Best toy shop, love it! Perfect place to go with children for coffee too, as there's a big playroom upstairs, with seating (can buy coffee and homemade cakes in the shop)

Beautiful little shop...with all kinds of beautiful toys.... the lady was so kind and very helpful.
