Shipley Central Park

An excellent little park. A nice open play area for toddlers. The concrete play area surface makes it suitable all the year around.Only thing is that I wish there was more lighting for when it's dark.

This park is spacious for my kids to kick a ball around. They have play and gym equipment which keeps us busy . It's lovely to walk through if you are on your way to Asda. It's generally clean .

This is a very small park with a few adult exercise machines and a few things for smaller kids. A circular paved route for walking / jogging. A table tennis table, a couple of picnic tables and a grass bowl. Pleasant for a local park.

I have only recently discovered this cute little park.It's clean, not busy and has a lovely little play park including a mini trampoline and ping pong table.An added bonus is an outdoor gym also picnic tables.

Well what can I say? A nice open area with lovely grass areas shame about the paths are broken and dangerous. The number of times I have tripped over slabs sticking up it is so dangerous and not suitable for disabled movement

A welcome and well placed little green area amongst the roads and houses. There are lots of seats, and a little children's play area and a free outdoor gym, and some nice trees and shrubs

Best park

Beautiful & useful small park with trees, paths; wheels-accessible picnic tables (that is with space for a wheelchair user or scooter user to join the table or for a buggy to be used as if a high chair, to bring the kid in close anyway). There's also fitness equipment for adults, a table tennis table, and other play equipment including basket swing, baby swing, swings suitable for physicallly able older children/teenagers (simple rectangular seat), a playframe mostly for younger children with slide & bridge, access up via both trickier rope routes and steps so relatively accessible but indeed built for quite young children (more slides for older kids & accessible for all would be great, generally - disability charity Scope has a current campaign about getting more accessible playgrounds if you're interested). My oldest teen likes to visit with me nonetheless. It's also a convenient through route coming from Asda towards housing and busstops on Bradford Road. Sometimes I feel a little unsafe and at night it can be a bit too dark especially around the St Paul's road entrance (although one tree has come down and they're possibly going to repair the light there).I'm wary of making noise given its a residential area and sheltered housing apartments for the elderly backing onto the site.But I guess some noise is inevitable and I shouldn't wonder if residents tune it out - if I was in distress there would anyone respond? But actually in the daytime I know by experience that the answer head been yes! Another park user who I vaguely knew got me to the doctor's. God bless Shipley!

Great little play area for small children. Although it is quite could do with some more lights as it is quite crowded by large trees.
