Village Blinds

Shocking experience with this company. My 92 year old father ordered a headrail to be fitted on 21st September and was told 5-10 days. They never showed, so he cancelled but fitter turned up today (18 October) to fit, despite my father quering this. When I got there the invoice said £50.72 but was asked for £100 which had been hand written at the bottom. I queried this under the sale of goods act, and after a few phone calls, was told by the owner of the firm, quite aggressively, they would just take it down. They did and put back up the original but had broken 2 holders. The cord they were installing was also of the type banned 10 years ago, which I pointed out, but was told it was not illegal as there are exemptions. Glad I got it taken down now for safety. Shocking way to treat an elderly man. Avoid.

We have been using Village Blinds for many years as we gradually replace all of the blinds throughout our house and I can say in all honesty that this is a fantastic local family run business. The team are wonderful, can't do enough for you and genuinely go above and beyond for their customers. Brilliant service. Came out and quoted quickly and efficiently. Installed really fast as well and it was timely after the quote. Wee issue with one of the blind cords and they came out and fixed it right away. 100% would use again. Recently moved and plan to get them back out!

Tried twice to go to the shop in East Kilbride, both times on a Saturday morning. According to the opening hours, they are supposed to be open. However, on both occasions the shop was shut. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else.

We have used Village blinds for every window in our house. They do a wide variation and are happy to suggest and help when we were undecided on what to do with our bifold doors. They are professional and reasonably priced compared with other quotes we had. We had a issue with the fitting of one of our blinds and they sorted it quickly and were back to fit it within a couple of days. Great experience, would highly recommend!

We moved into a house with very wide windows and were struggling to find anything modern to fit. Andy and the team were happy to help and got us custom made rollers with reinforced bar, 2 years later and no bowing. Very impressed for the price. The team also supplied my dad when he moved house - gave him advice on the best blinds for his windows, great price and quick delivery. Will definitely use next time I need anything :-)
