Amy Rabson Repair

Amy is an absolute wizard of her craft, and has worked her magic over a few of my instruments now (a metal clarinet, along with three different vintage Conn saxophones). She's completely upfront about pricing, and what is achievable with each repair (e.g. whether a baritone neck is repairable), and clearly communicates timescales and potential issues. Her background as a woodwind player also means that she's able to talk in the language of musicians, explaining how each repair will affect the playability and sound (e.g. making a tenor less stuffy by reducing leaks).I have no hesitation in bringing my instruments to Amy, as I know that they'll come back to me in a much better state than I left them!

Amy was so kind, informative, quick and so affordable! I brought my tarnished flute that I hadn’t used for years to Amy and it looks good as new!! Amy is so wonderful and I can’t recommend her enough!

Many thanks to Amy Rabson repair for the excellent work she did on my bari sax, which now plays like new! Amy sorted leaky keys, put new cork on the neck and adjusted the top palm key so I can now play it with ease. All work done very efficiently and at a very reasonable price. Delighted all round.

My tenor saxophone had been giving me all kinds of trouble and after getting it serviced by Amy it's now playing like a whole new instrument. She fixed some leaks, refit the neck and adjusted the spring tension. She was super knowledgeable, quickly identifying the problems and was able to offer good advice about mouthpiece options as well. To top it all off the turnaround time was only a few days. I cannot recommend her enough.

I have had several vintage saxophones overhauled over the years, by some very good repairers. Amy is right up there with the best of them and my 1929 Buescher tenor is playing beautifully. She was also a pleasure to meet, concerned to establish the player's requirements, prompt and professional.

Amy took great care of my saxophone! A few pads needed replacing, a standard oil change and a few keys needed modifying to make it easier for me to play. She was lovely to work with and work was done to a high standard at a fair price. She is now my go to for any repairs on my saxophone.
