I joined the programe last year in December as I wanted to make life changes and lose weight. The fist introduction appointment went well and I felt really positive. The communication was really good too. My first session was booked in January. It was really hard to go as it was an evening and a miserable cold Monday night. I made myself attend only to get there and find out the session was cancelled. I didnt receive any message to let me know. It was really disappointing and annoying. There were two other women waititng who felt the same. I decided not to return which is bad I think :-(

Hi my name is Paul Coleman i have had the pleasure of the weight management course, and now the i'm taking the circuit training course. On my journey I have had the pleasure of meeting some really helpful and professional trainers and other members ,but all the way through my journey i have had one contact common throughout ,and the lady is Selena Right she is more than just helpful she goes the full mile to try and help. Her attitude is very positive towards people and i find her spoken words very calming, that could be a medicine in itself (i love speaking to her ) One you Leeds (Reed) you should be very proud to have such a pleasant and helpful member of staff .Thank you and Regards Paul

I worked for this company from January until June 2021 and it wasn't a very good experience. I was working from home and i shadowed some coaches for a month or so and then had to do the some of the sessions myself. I was expected to talk to the participants aswell as do other tasks, such as, request their treatments and make notes during the session. This was really difficult to multitask, to have a conversation with the individual and to finish the appointments on time. Thus, bearing in mind, the only experience that I had was shadowing the coaches and only had practised a few sessions, also I was working from home which made it even more difficult! After a few months of working here, I was told my quit rates were quite low compared to the other health coaches and that I needed to improve this by a certain period, otherwise 'I would have to face the consequences' which is what my manager said to me. Some of my colleagues had mentioned that I sounded robotic and monotone in my sessions which to me felt insulting as i did try my best to be a good health coach but it was hard to juggle all the tasks that needed to be done during those appointments along with talking to the clients which I have mentioned above. I also found it frustrating to do these sessions back to back even without breaks sometimes except for lunch and that these sessions were all for thirty minutes which meant having to cram so many things in one appointment which made it so hard to finish the appointments on time. I was made to feel guilty for giving myself small breaks in between some sessions, I was blamed for not being a good enough coach because of my quit rates and how I conducted my sessions. I was told that I was a 'ZERO' compared to all the other coaches who were a 'FIVE' which my manager directly told me which again was insulting and I was made again to feel guilty and that everything was my fault and noone else's. My manager reiterated this point and i was told that i would be provided with more support to help me become a better coach by for example, doing some role play sessions which never happened! Towards the end of my period, because I didn't achieve high quit rates for the programme and due to me not being an effective health coach, I was subsequently fired. This company seems to care alot about the quit rates and the success of the programme, that I feel they don't care enough for the individuals working for them. I was made to feel like a failure, I was threatened and ultimately I felt that I was provided with enough support and resources to improve as a coach. But ultimately, I'm glad that this has happened because it has been a learning experience for me.

I had great success when I quit smoking but I didn't like my adviser very much I felt like I was just being told what to do all the time for example when I stated I asked politely whether he would send me a confirmation message about the next appointment time and he responded by saying don't assume and what kind of response is that when I only asked a question so I felt his standard of care was abit poor because then I was left feeling under pressure to do what he wanted but he did give some helpful advise which was usually given without asking me whether it would help me first about not taking the first cig and that's about all I got from one you really it would help if the support was more person centred but with targets I can be difficult but I would have preferred a more person centred approach but Im glad I achieved success with stopping smoking and now I am smoke free.
