Douglas Butchers

Great experience buying meat here.Found this butchers while looking for a new one, thought I'd give it a try. Easy to find parking in long stay round the corner, shop opens quite early in the morning which is good!I've been a few times since, buying: Ox cheeks, Diced Beef, Lamb Shanks, Pork Belly and Sausages.All the meat tasted great, was able to get just the amount I needed with them measuring and cutting. Reasonably priced ans they also gave me some tips on cooking etc.They also sell local artisan produce such as chutneys, honeys and fresh bread from a local bakers.Shout out to the butcher with the moustache, the italian sausages are his recipe and are great.I often call ahead few days before and just check what stock they have, haven't been disappointed yet!

I bought two succulent Duck breasts from the Douglas Butchers, downtown. The Duck breasts were fresh and good portion size that allows you to feel full after a meal, well worth the money! I guess you can find them cheaper in the big supermarkets, but you won't get the freshness and portion size as if you get them from the butchers in Newport Pagnell. The gentlemen’s working behind the counter are polite and helpful. For sure, I am back there to buy more. Regards Kevin

Fantastic local butchers. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. All the food they sell is delicious and easy to cook. The black pepper sausages are amazing, not to mention the steaks. They also sell local mustard and other similar produce. Shop locally as it's fantastic quality and can't be beaten.

The ultimate butcher's shop. Nothing too much trouble and have supported my business through thick and thin for over a decade. Can't speak highly enough about Graham and his team. Best in the area bar none.

Superb butchers! Really friendly & helpful with a great selection of meat. They also do lots of other things like delicious chutneys. Love going there!Recently bought some diced lamb here and it was absolutely superb. So much better than the supermarket!

Great butcher. Went in with a specific request for beef sausages. They were more than happy to make them and put them out as a weekly special. I was looking for something similar to what I'd get in Australia. They are still nothing like them but they are far superior. Real beef, real hearty and exactly what I needed to curb the craving. Definitely a butcher I'd purchase from again.

Be careful, 1.8Kg brisket £44! What a joke, honestly was shocked when they told me the price, must have thought I was uneducated. Seems these new owners are set on ripping off the locals of Newport Pagnell. Tompkins butchers in Hanslope £14 for the same cut and weight. If I could give them half a star I would.

Highly recommend. They sourced some salted beef for me at short notice for Father’s Day. The beef was delicious and the meal went without a hitch! I enjoyed the leftovers for the rest of week. Thank you

Amazing butchers. Lovely meat all round. Very friendly staff, they even remember you as a customer. Asked for bones for the dog the first time I went, they didn't have any. Went again got a massive bag this time round.Thanks guys 5 star from me
