SS Alban & Stephen Catholic Church

Beautiful church for sad funeral , but lovely service , parking permits available to park outside the church for free

My local church,have been a parishioner for over 50,years.peaceful place to pray,come and rejoice with us!

The atmosphere was welcoming and although its iconography is simpler than in more traditional churches, it felt like the worship of God was honest and faithful to the core Catholic teachings.Note. On a hot day the heat can build up a little inside.

The Catholic Church of Sts Alban & Stephen was consecrated in the 1970s. The Church is dedicated to the proto martyrs of the Church - St Stephen and the proto martyr of these islands St Alban.It has fine statutes of both saints and of note is the altar of Our Lady of Perpetual Succor (help) on which when i visited where the Requiem Mass booklets for those deceased over the last year an important reminder to pray for the dead.A visit to Sts Alban & Stephen could combined with a visit to the Abbey/Cathedral and the medieval churches of Sts Micheal, Peter and Stephen all within reasonable walking distance.

Attended a lunchtime AA meeting. Lovely premises and beautifully clean toiletd.

I'm afraid the third funeral this year but has been my families church in St Albans 4 over 60 years

Beautiful church .... Good size and very clean.

I attended a wedding service of a friend here and the experience was great.
