We like that we can have coffee etc before 11am .Also the vegetarian lunchtime menu greatly improved.

Good location dog friendly restaurant. Good for a meal, pint or good value cream tea

A big thank you to Steve, Sam and their team, we have just had a family reunion at Lydiard Park. They all went out of their way to make our stay and our family meal a resounding success. We had to make various alterations at the last minute due to illness and mechanical car breakdowns and they were flexible and very understanding.The food, drink, service excellent, we had a lovely room to ourselves with Christmas decorations which made it special. The bedrooms were clean and functional, we had 6 rooms all fine would perhaps say although perfectly clean and modern room 2 is small with no hanging space or hooks fine for an overnight but for any longer a bit tight for 2 people. Additionally you step outside into the lovely Park, kept our family entertained for two days, walking, orienteering, football/games, children playground, cafe and a visit to the house.Well done, we hope to return.

This hotel is an absolute gem, rooms are small but adequate, the surrounding are amazing, and the food is bloody fantastic…

The location is beautiful but the staff are rude and slow. When I asked a question it was as if it was the most inconvenient thing that could have ever happened to them. It's so disappointing.

The Lydiard hotel has improved so much recently with its refurbishment.The rooms are on the small side, but well fitted, modern and clean. That is made up for by the atmosphere of the new bar / restaurant area, and the food is wonderful.The staff are helpful and friendly.

The newly created Lydiard Park Hotel Palm CafeBar and restaurant is a beautiful space giving a welcome oasis of hospitality in the stunningly beautiful Lydiard park. Also open to non hotel residents.The Palm Cafe bar welcomes people for beverages or drinks from 11:00 all day and has a delicious lunchtime Bar menu from 12-15:00 then dinner from 17:30-21:00.There is often a slice of delicious home made cake available for those seeking a day time treat. The food service is high quality British European cuisine and the chef is producing some excellent dishes. The flavour of the vegan mushroom polenta was stunning and the house burger and delicious fries were impressive and both cooked to order and perfection.Starters from £4-7 and mains from £14-22. Deserts from £4-7Children welcome and catered for.The staff are kind and attentive whether you pop in for coffee or come for a light lunch or a feast- dining with yourself or with friends and family.The lantern roof light means you can relax and look up at the park or the ever changing sky. The courtyard offers outdoor seating and is a lovely touch on warmer days.Disabled access and toilet available.I highly recommend this gem of a cafe bar and restaurant with its warm welcome and delicious home cooked and delicious food. We had an Amazing evening last night at a private function.The staff without exception were proffessional, friendly and very Helpful.The Food by Marco and the kitc hen team was outstsnding.The best i have had at a large function.Thank you Alex snd all the tean.Will be back for sure.I would really reccomend a visit for food and functions.I didnt stay so cant comment on rooms

Absolutely stunning venue, service and location.My husband and I held our ceremony and reception at the newly renovated Lydiard and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.The current staff went above and beyond for us not only on the day itself but even in the lead up to the wedding.We had a specialised menu which was a Caribbean BBQ and a buffet for the wedding breakfast. The food was absolutely delicious and was cooked to perfection .The wedding packages are great value for money with a great service that comes along with it.The staff are hard working, friendly, professional and really know what they’re doing.I can’t thank them all enough.If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue surrounding in stunning scenery in a place that’s rich in history, this is the venue!
