Companion Care - Salisbury

A big thankyou to malcom at companion care vets salisbury for basically saving my working English springer spaniels life after having a huge twig embedded in her throat area definitely not a easy procedure highly experienced vet cannot thank him enough really knows his stuff thankyou malcom

My cat Archie was unwell so I got a very quick and efficient appointment. The vet was very thorough. He had to stay in overnight at vets now. I had to pick him up at 8am and take him back to companion care. I was told there would be someone there from 8.30 but it turned out to be 9am. Archie was actually seen and then admitted for the day at 10am. There were several routine animals seen first. As Archie was unwell I would have expected him to take priority but instead he was stuck in his carrier for 2hrs and subsequently wet in the box.To top it all the bill was £960. I was not aware when quoted that the overnight stay was completely separate from the original quote . Overall not very impressed.

Fantastic vets, the staff are so always accommodating, helpful and friendly. Had several animals with them over the last decade and have never been disappointed with their service. Tina is excellent at the insurance side of things too, very helpful.

The Vers have a sign up that clearly states they’re busier than usual, and ask for our patience. I fully appreciate that. But they kept me waiting for half an hour, and for the last ten minutes I could see 3 female staff just standing and chatting in the area between consultation rooms. That’s quite disrespectful to people who arrived on time and are waiting.For the entire time that I was waiting, the two ladies behind the reception desk did no work, they just chatted. Even in the waiting area you could hear their conversation word for word. And every time they laughed the noise was so loud through out the area. It’s just not a nice environment to wait when you’re worried about a poorly pet.

Very disappointed with the customer service i received extremely unprofessional and a complete disregard for my dogs wellfare would not recommend this practice to anyone

Great vet, have always used them for my dog, who is now 6 and just as clumsy/daft as when she was a puppy. Really easy to get an appointment and the staff are always lovely. I have rung them up in a panic on a few occasions because I was worried about the dog and they always squeeze me in that day. They are also great at follow up, calling to see how things are after treatment. I have never doubted their advice.Edit: Reduced to 4 stars as they no longer do weekends, which is a massive issue.

Really enjoy visiting this vet team. They explained pros and cons of treatments and thorough. Subscribed to their pet plan as it more than pays for all the treatments and the staff are friendly and caring

Stopped by to give a brief review because vet Malcolm has always gone above and beyond for us- being so patient with my many questions and putting our beloved dogs to sleep over the years with such tenderness and compassion. He was always correct with his diagnosises, even the very tricky ones yet he was humble at the same time. The receptionists too are such kind hearted, friendly people, definitely the best of all the area's practises. I do so wish Malcolm hadn't moved on to a new area but I have no doubt the other vets will be excellent.

We have been with them for years. But unfortunately their service has dramatically dropped over the last few. The last straw was when they completely failed my dog when he needed their help the most.
