We were very happy with our tenancy with extra mile. While I was viewing the flat, I pointed out a couple of things that could do with improving and they were fixed by the time we moved in two weeks later. Any issues we had were quickly resolved - they have an online form to fill in, which I think is a really great idea. They were always very responsive and helpful - head and shoulders above other companies I have rented from in the past. I would definitely recommend them as a letting agent.

Chris has been unbelievably helpful to me with various properties across Edinburgh- always reliable and ready to roll up his sleeves and get the job done, whatever it may be. He's exceptionally personable and knows how to genuinely connect with people- from tenants to maintenance staff- and always has a connection in the city to help solve whatever issue you're suddenly facing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris and his team in helping to manage your property portfolio.

I also like that I can call them directly in case of an emergency.They are always friendly, professional and service minded. Their pricing is fair for landlords and they do not take commission on top of contractor work at my properties! From a tenants perspective, Extra Mile is by far the most professional and friendliest letting agent I have ever dealt with. Not only did they provide and maintain a lovely home to live in, I feel they covered all the necessary stops a landlord would want as well. Would have no hesitation renting a property in the safe hands of Chris and his team again.

I have never experienced such a poor letting agency. They do 3 monthly inspections which are most intrusive and then are attempting to remove most of my deposit when they allowed me to have my two cats who scratched at a carpet. I feel sorry for the landlords that trust this company, and the tenants that end up with them. Don’t rent their properties.

We had no issues with the initial letting process. Although we found the frequent inspections somewhat intrusive, any issues were resolved reasonably promptly.However we have been extremely disappointed with the process of terminating the tenancy and recovering our deposit.The communication from the agent has been very slow, from submitting our termination notice, to agreeing an inspection date.The property was professionally cleaned prior to leaving it so there should have been no issues with the final inspection. It has now been over 30 days since we left the property and we have had to prompt the agent several times for any communication on the return of our deposit. We have subsequently had to raise a request with Safe Deposits Scotland for the return of our deposit and issue an ultimatum to the agent regarding further proceedings and are now awaiting their response.I would not recommend this agent based on our end of tenancy experiences which have been extremely unprofessional.
