Old Rectory House
Nice place, staff very friendly, clean tidy rooms, good venue for a special occasion, downside is limited parking and an expensive bar (hence 3 stars), if you can put up with that, your good to go

We attended a family wedding here 6th August 2023.Everyone had a wonderful day celebrating and the whole event went like clockwork. This has created such special, beautiful memories, of a truly wonderful day.The Old Rectory House is such a charming elegant venue, with exceptional staff who are so accommodating and friendly. The whole experience was amazing and the food was magnificent. This venue is a hidden gem, set in glorious gardens, with a wonderful history and a superb atmosphere, that will forever remain in our memories. We would 100% recommend this venue for any occasion and most importantly, for any glorious wedding.A truly beautiful setting.

We have just used this venue for a family Wake (March 2023). and it was perfect. The setting is lovely and the service and food were excellent. The staff were very attentive to our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very sensitive to the reason we were there. I would highly recommend them. I didn’t rate the bedrooms as I didn’t use them but the function rooms were excellent.

Our wedding venue. Absolutely beautiful place. Hard to believe it is situated in a busy town and not solitary countryside. Staff fab, food yummy, rooms gorgeous. Truly fab experience.

Lovely little wedding venue! We travelled over and stayed at the Old Rectory for a friends wedding, but unfortunately the rain played havoc with the plans. Luckily, we were able to sort things quickly and move things around!Really enjoyed our the day their, the only things that didn’t make it 5 star was the bar prices (a little steep!) and the bedrooms need a bit of modernisation, but understand that the venue is under new management and will be sorted!Over all, a lovely place for a special day.

I was a wedding guest. I found the staff so miserable. When the wedding was being discussed. To see if they wanted the wedding there. All happy and smiles. When the contract is signed. They are not very nice to deal with. I would suggest to anyone getting wed. Think twice. There is two sides. And you will see the real side after you signed with them. The only thing it has going for them is the garden outside. Nothing else

Where to start! Our daughter’s wedding was held at The Old Rectory. Everything was just wonderful. A truly magical day.Special thanks must go to Lisa, who worked tirelessly on the day, nothing was too much trouble, Lisa was there every step of the way throughout the day, we cannot thank her enough, from arriving early on the day, to let us in to the absolutely beautiful wedding preparation room, to ensuring that everything ran smoothly and to time, the Service, the Wedding Breakfast, Cake Cutting, The Evening buffet, Lisa had everything under control! She was even back to serve us Breakfast in the beautiful Lavender Barn the following morning. The grounds are beautiful and the building itself is just charming. It really is a special location, tucked away where you would least expect it!We received many compliments on the venue, staff and the Wedding Breakfast, being the best food guests had tasted at a Wedding. So our thanks must go to the Chef and Team too.Thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes at The Old Rectory. Memories were made which will last a lifetime..quite simply one of the best days of my life…Lisa you are a star!

Lovely building but became very crowded for the wedding we attended with not huge numbers, one bar but staff were great. A little dated inside and could do with some TLC. cannot fault staff though, worked very hard throughout.
