Bournemouth Life Centre

Beautifully restored former cinema and bingo hall. It is now Bournemouth Life Centre a Christian church providing spaces for lots of community activities. The decor is modern but really sympathetic to its Art Deco origins .Worth a visit just to soak up the nostalgia.

Remember this great building when I was little being a bingo hall. My mum says many years before it was originally a theatre, dance hall and cinema. The Church which bought it, after a period of being vacent, have done an excellent job of renovating it and bringing it back to its former glory. They have restored many of its beautiful art deco features along with sympathetically modernising the public areas. I go there to give blood and it is by far the nicest venue I have been to. They have a well priced cafe upstairs which I have eaten in, lovely friendly staff and hold many community meetings, events and social events. I believe the rooms can also be hired too. They also show films too at reasonable cost. The life centre is well worth a visit in my opinion. The only draw back is no car park but parking can be found on roads nearby.

Church service is very welcoming without being too preachy, but still honest and to the point. I've been going for almost 10 years now and we are like a big family (without the dysfunction)

Diabetic Eye Screening venue. Interesting building (previously a cinema) with many original features still visible. Parking is a nightmare with no disabled spaces in the car park at the rear.

My grandchildren loved it It was so well put together and father Xmas was amazing and could not have been more helpful when it came to the photos

Went there for a work conference. They still use disposable cups and plastic cups! Main hall was cold, upstairs fire doors were unsecure-blew open half way though.

Clear and efficient signage. Helpful and friendly staff as always. The sessions were running late, which meant some people couldn't wait and donate. Car park was full and Street parking nearby is difficult but that's just the luck of the draw.

Went to an audience with Roy Keane. The bar area was tiny so took time to get drinks and there were lots of problems with sound throughout the show.
